Stage 5 Excursion: Day Three! 🌿
Yesterday, our Stage 5 crew headed to Tamborine Mountain for an adventure at the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk 🌳
The group explored the magical 1.5km rainforest walk, winding their way along forest floor trails and soaring steel bridges through the highest points of the rainforest canopy ☁️
To top off an action-packed day, they headed to BOUNCE to burn off the last of their energy 🤸

Stage 5 Excursion: Night One! ⛳️🎉
After a long Monday of travelling, the group kicked off their first night with a delicious dinner of lasagne, salad and garlic bread, lovingly cooked by Queen Connie 🫶🏻
With full bellies and energy to burn, it was then off to Topgolf Gold Coast for a night of golf games, friendly competition and plenty of laughs.
The group had a fantastic time trying out the different games, battling it out against friends and trying to beat each other’s scores! 💯
A great start to the excursion!

Wondering what else this crew are getting up to this week? See the last slide for their itinerary!

In Week 4, seven of our students travelled to Dubbo to participate in the NSW Schools Merino Wether Challenge 🐑
The challenge saw our school sheep hit the mat to compete against other schools in our zone, followed by shearing and scanning to measure eye muscle area and GR tissue depth 👁️
Students also took part in a range of workshops and activities, including a careers panel, sheep judges’ workshop, Fletcher International Exports presentation, Zondii Micron session and a nutrition workshop 🌱
As part of the excursion, students also toured Fletcher International Exports and McDonald & Co Woolbromers on Monday.
A massive thank you to both businesses for hosting our students. It was an incredible informative experience that gave our students valuable insight into the different avenues of Merino production, as well as the processing that takes place beyond the farm production system.
Special shoutout to Miss Bray for accompanying the group 🫶🏻

Last week, our Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation (SLR) class channeled their inner Happy Gilmore and had a go at playing some golf! ⛳️
It was great fun, and everyone showed off a great swing - not including Miss Conomos, who hit nothing but air 💨🤭
The class made a bet that if someone could hit the orange bin (by the ball courts), they would get a full week of practical lessons!
Unfortunately for the students, nobody managed to hit it…so it’s back to the classroom they go! 📝
