While currently working as a Technical Officer in Optometry at Deakin University, Meg remains passionate about the future of medical research, particularly in the field of metastatic cancer. Her journey highlights how research skills can open doors to a variety of rewarding career pathways beyond academia.

Meet Our Speaker: Dr Amna Siddiqui
We are excited to welcome Dr Amna Siddiqui, a Teaching Fellow and Graduate Researcher at Deakin University, to Medical Research Night.
With more than 15 years of experience in medical education and biomedical research across multiple countries, Dr Siddiqui brings a wealth of knowledge to the field. Her current PhD research investigates colorectal cancer metastasis using zebrafish models, contributing to our understanding of cancer progression and potential future treatments.
