Welcome to 2016!!

The school year is now well underway and life is busy.
I am delivering lectures again this year to help Year 12 Maths Methods students improve their VCE result.

The year kicks off with a FREE LECTURE on Sunday 13th March at Deakin University, Waurn Ponds in Geelong. The lecture will:

* revise topics already covered in Term 1
* give study tips
* discuss strategies to help students cope with Year 12
* explain recent changes to the curriculum.

The revision lecture on Applied Calculus is being held this weekend. It will provide an extensive review of linear approximation and integration. Examples will be included to demonstrate the theory within these topics and common errors made by past students will be discussed. Come along to fine-tune your understanding and maximise your exam performance.

Today the school holiday revision program kicks off. The program runs over three days and is a series of lectures that review Unit 3 Mathematical Methods. It is designed to help year 12 students consolidate what they have covered at school during Terms 1 and 2.

The revision lecture on Function Behaviour is being held this weekend. This is the second in a series of VCE revision lectures for Methods students. Come along to revise the key points on functions, matrices and transformations.

This week is Education Week and the theme for this year is 'Crack the Code with Maths'. Maths often gets more than its share of negative exposure - many people are quick to say they find it boring or just too hard. So its pretty exciting that its finally getting some positive coverage.

The next revision lecture for Year 12 Maths Methods is quickly approaching. The topic this time is Function Behaviour. It will cover domains, inverses, transformations, matrices and much more. The material will include several past VCE questions (from this topic) fully worked through and explained.

The lecture is on Sunday 7th June, 1:30 - 4:00pm, at Deakin University, Waurn Ponds campus, Geelong.
