TG's Child Care - Riverbreeze Wauchope

TG's Child Care - Riverbreeze Wauchope TG’s provide child care and pre-school education for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. Gayle Kee is a mother, grandmother and working mum. In 1998.

For 20 years, the loving TGs family are the best educators to care and nurture young minds, in a secure, creative environment where Playing is Learning for Life. She knows what it's like trying to be Super-Mum, juggling work and motherhood. With over 32 years as a pre-school teacher, Gayle feels for parents struggling between work, home and raising children. She knows what it's like and wanted to

make a difference, helping parents nurture their children so parents don't feel guilty about working or taking some well-earned time out. That’s how TG’s Child Care and Pre-School was born. TG's provides a nurturing, secure, stimulating environment where Playing is Learning for Life for every child. You and your child are our extended family and that means you can pop in anytime to observe, to share, to chat, and to learn with your child and our educators. At TG’s, our passionate, creative and highly qualified educators work with you to ensure your child develops socially, emotionally, physically and academically, expanding their young, inquiring minds through each developmental milestone. Every child is different so we focus on what each child knows, can do and understand. Their learnings are extended and supported through positive interactions and building relationships with their peers and educators. We believe building relationships, understanding your gifts and collective thinking are the biggest gifts we can give to you and your child. That is why they are our foundations stones so we can consistently provide an environment of love, trust, respect, compassion and fun. When parents walk into our centres, they say they ‘cannot describe what is it about TG’s but it feels so right’. We know it is the all-important ‘parent intuition’ that comes from every protective parent when they want the best for their child – and it cannot be ignored. This ‘feeling’ parents have flows through the indoors and outdoors, in every room and every play space. We know that this feeling comes from a happy and secure environment where Playing is Learning for Life. We believe children learn best when the physical environment supports curiosity with a range of creative opportunities for learning and physical activity, both indoors and outdoors. Trevor Kee is a qualified landscape designer. He challenges himself and his own childlike curiosity to build the most stimulating outdoor play-spaces for your child so the only thing left is to enjoy playing and learning with friends. When we see how they explore, experiment and discover the world around them, we know we have created a little oasis just right for children. TG's success is when each child achieves AND when parents celebrate these achievements right alongside their child - beaming with love, pride and happiness

🌻Preschool Monday-

Today we laughed often and loudly and encapsulated why every situation is an opportunity to grow and shine!
Exploring through play in both our indoor and outdoor environments we practiced early literacy and numeracy skills and developed fundamental gross and fine motor abilities as we played.

What a wonderful start to our week - great work Preschoolers🌟🫶🏼😁

🌿💦 Thursday & Friday with the Joeys 💦🌿

What a wonderful couple of days we have had with the Joeys! With the warmer weather upon us, we have been making the most of our outdoor environment and exploring our senses through a variety of engaging water play experiences. 💧

Through scooping, pouring, splashing and experimenting with water, the children have been using their senses to explore and investigate, developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and emerging understandings of cause and effect. Water play also provides opportunities for children to make choices, problem-solve, communicate their ideas and engage in collaborative play with their peers.

These experiences support the children to become confident and involved learners as they explore, experiment and develop their own theories about the world around them. 🌱

We have also been nurturing the children’s growing awareness of caring for and respecting our natural environment. Using hoses and watering cans, the Joeys have been helping to water our garden and care for the plants. 🌻

This hands-on experience encourages children to develop a sense of responsibility, respect and connection to the natural environment. As they care for our garden, they are beginning to understand that living things need water and care to grow and thrive. The children are also developing a sense of agency as they actively contribute to the wellbeing of their environment.

It has been lovely to see the Joeys learning through play, building relationships, developing new skills and showing such curiosity and enthusiasm for the world around them. 💚

EYLF connections: Outcome 2 – Children are connected with and contribute to their world | Outcome 3 – Children have a strong sense of wellbeing | Outcome 4 – Children are confident and involved learners | Outcome 5 – Children are effective communicators.

🌱 Big learning can grow from little moments of curiosity at TG’s Child Care Riverbreeze.

In the September newsletter, we see TG’s Way in action as educators follow children’s interests and turn everyday play into meaningful opportunities to learn, explore and grow.

🌼 The Joeys are becoming little gardeners, caring for their own flower seeds while discovering responsibility and respect for nature.

✏️ The Boaties are fascinated by their names, building early literacy as they recognise letters, trace and begin writing for themselves.

🔢 Preschoolers are exploring literacy and numeracy through playful challenges, games and discovery, building confidence, independence, problem-solving and teamwork along the way.

There’s also a beautiful look at how children connected with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through meaningful NAIDOC Week experiences.

It’s all part of Playing is Learning for Life. 💜

At TG’s, our Educators do much more than guide children’s learning. They help shape the culture children and families experience every day.

That is TG’s Way.

Through the relationships they build, the values they model and the way they work together, TG’s Educators create environments where children feel they belong, families feel welcomed, and everyone has opportunities to grow.

When Educators feel valued, trusted and supported to grow, that positive culture flows through to children, families, their teams and the wider community.

Playing is Learning for Life, and our Educators help make that possible every day.

🍎 EYLF Alignment:
Reflective and collaborative Educators build respectful relationships and learning environments that strengthen children’s belonging, wellbeing and learning.

🪴 NQS Alignment:
• NQS 4: Professional and collaborative Educator teams support quality experiences, relationships and continuity of learning for children.
• NQS 7: Effective leadership creates a positive organisational culture where Educators are valued, supported to grow and empowered to contribute.

🌿 Joeys Room | Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 💧🎨

We have been making the most of the warmer weather in the Joeys Room, engaging in hands-on sensory water play experiences that have encouraged curiosity, exploration and discovery. Through these experiences, the children have been developing their sense of agency as they made choices, experimented with water and explored different textures, movements and possibilities through play.

Our creative experiences have also provided opportunities to strengthen fine motor skills, express ideas and develop creativity and imagination. From engaging in craft experiences to the excitement of unwrapping and discovering new resources, the children have been learning through hands-on experiences that support their individual interests, capabilities and developing confidence as learners. 🌈✨

Wednesday with the Preschool Room! ✨🫶🏼

Today, the preschoolers requested that we spend our day enjoying the outdoors and what a wonderful day it was! 🌿☀️

The preschoolers absolutely love having picnics as part of their morning tea, and it always brings the biggest smiles to their little faces! 🧺🥪😊

Throughout the day, the children engaged in a wide range of exciting outdoor experiences. These included exploring the sandpit with diggers, challenging themselves on the balancing beams, engaging in imaginative cooking experiences, and so much more! 🏗️⚖️🍳

Through these experiences, the children were able to explore, create, problem-solve, build confidence, and develop their skills while learning through play.

It’s always a great day when we’re learning, exploring and having fun together! 💕🌈

☀️ What a lovely sunny day! We spent the day outdoors exploring, creating, and learning together. 🌿
The children enjoyed imaginative cooking with rocks, sticks and leaves, building and working together in the construction zone, drawing, stacking cups, jumping on the crash mat, playing ball games, and getting busy with the excavators in the sandpit. 🚜🏗️🎨

So many opportunities for creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and lots of fun! 💛

What a wonderful day of outdoor learning and play! 🌱✨
