It was so lovely to see so many smiling faces, hear the Christmas cheer, and watch our community come together to celebrate such a special time of year.

🎄🧩 End-of-Year Fun for the Mad Hatter House Team! 🧩🎄

Last weekend our amazing Mad Hatter House team swapped toys and teaching for puzzles and problem-solving as we enjoyed an afternoon of escape-room challenges hosted by Escape the Expected - Team Building Port Macquarie.

We had such a fantastic time working together, laughing, and putting our teamwork to the test. It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of another wonderful year with an incredible group of educators. ❤️

A huge thank you to Escape the Expected - Team Building Port Macquarie for providing such a fun and memorable experience. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for a team-building adventure!

Here’s to wrapping up 2025 with joy, connection, and a little bit of mystery.

💛 New Safety Update at Mad Hatter House!💛

We are committed to providing the safest possible environment for the children, families and staff in our care. That’s why we’re excited to share that we now have a defibrillator (AED) on site at our service.

Having a defibrillator available means we’re even better prepared to respond quickly in the unlikely event of a cardiac emergency. Our team has been trained in its use, and it will be kept in an accessible, clearly marked location.

Your children’s wellbeing is always our number one priority, and this is another step in strengthening our safety measures and peace of mind for everyone.

🎈 Day for Daniel & Halloween Safety Reminder! 🎃

Today we’re wearing red to support the Day for Daniel. One of Australia’s largest days dedicated to promoting child safety and awareness.
It’s a great opportunity to talk to our little ones about staying safe, trusting their feelings, and knowing what to do if they ever feel unsure.
With it also being Halloween, it’s also the perfect time to remind families of a few simple safety tips:

👻 Always keep children close and in sight while trick-or-treating.
🎃Choose well-lit paths and use reflective clothing or glow sticks.
👻 Check all treats before letting little ones dig in.
🎃Encourage kids to stay with their group and never wander off alone.

Here at Mad Hatters we’re proud to teach safety, confidence, and kindness every day and today we celebrate that even more.

Springtime brings new life, fresh blooms, and endless opportunities for our little ones to explore and connect with the world around them.

Here at Mad Hatters, we believe nature is a living classroom. Spending time in nature is not only fun, but it’s also essential for children’s growth, well-being, and provides children with a sense of wonder and belonging.

This spring, we’re encouraging all families to spend more time outdoors, whether it’s planting flowers, going on nature walks, or simply watching the clouds drift by. Together, we can help our children grow into kind, mindful stewards of the planet.

From fresh fruits and vegetables, worms, chickens, and tadpoles, even the friendly lizards 🦎

Special acknowledgement to Troy, our dedicated maintenance man, for his tireless efforts behind the scenes.

Thanks to their hard work, the children of Mad Hatter House now have a vibrant, secure, and stimulating environment that fosters exploration, play, and growth. We're already witnessing an explosion of joy, curiosity, and learning in this fantastic new space.

Last weekend some of the MHH staff had the joy of spending their Sunday morning doing a PD team building day with Aaron from Pallet play. Not only did we learn some new skills for our selves we were able to create some amazing new equipment for the children of Mad Hatter House. Thankyou again to Aaron for an awesome fun day!
