Book Week was a fantastic celebration at our school today. We brought the theme of "Symphony of Stories" to life with exciting activities, dressing up as colourful book characters, engaging in storytime sessions and enjoying the company of our friends. It was wonderful to see everyone sharing, discovering and appreciating the magic of books together. Thank you to all students, staff and families who made today so memorable. Congratulations to our students who competed at the Lower North Coast Athletics Carnival today. Noah placed 1st in 100m and 200m and 3rd in long jump, Luna placed 3rd in 100m and our relay team broke their PB taking out 1st place. What an awesome effort!

This morning, we welcomed our Kindy Transition students for 2027. It was wonderful to see so many bright smiles as they embraced the joys of school life. What a fantastic morning filled with settling in, writing, storytime, dance and play.

This week, we have proudly celebrated Education Week through "Inspiring Excellence." Our students had fun doing a science experiment and solving some challenging maths problems together. They put their parents' brains to the test and kept encouraging them to persist, like they do every day. It was wonderful to see how much they enjoyed learning alongside their parents.

On Tuesday, Wauchope High School proudly hosted vibrant celebrations for NAIDOC Week. Following a welcoming assembly, students came together in small groups to showcase their creativity. They enjoyed painting, storytelling, learning about native plants, language activities and traditional games. The day was filled with learning, culture and fun for everyone involved!

Yesterday, Angie from the Library Regeneration Program visited our school. Thanks to the partnership between Westport Club and Dymocks Children’s Charities, every student received new books to take home, and our school library gained a wonderful selection of new titles. It was a delight to have Angie read one of the books to us. We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation—thank you for supporting our love of reading!
