🌟 EXCITING UPDATE 🌟

We’re excited to share that we have refreshed our logo across all of our centres — bringing us together under one unified look that reflects who we are and what we stand for.

While our signage has changed, our ownership, strong leadership and commitment to families remain the same. This is simply a refreshed look that represents the unity of our services and proudly reflects who we are.

Our emblem tells our story and carries our motto — Nurture. Inspire. Achieve.

🌿 The circle represents each child’s ever-growing journey — with open doors and open hearts.
🌿 The left leaf symbolises Nurture — our families, the heart of our community.
🌿 The right leaf reflects Inspire — our educators guiding each step of discovery.
🌿 The central leaf sits between families and educators, representing the child — supported on both sides as we nurture their growth and gently lift them upward to Achieve.

Together, families, educators and children grow in harmony through the most important early years.

First Responders Day 2025

First Responders Day is a special day in early childhood education because it allows us to guide the children in recognising and celebrating the brave individuals who help keep our communities safe.

Yesterday we were lucky enough to be visited by firefighters Crystal, Dylan and Nat from Fire and Rescue 492 Wauchope and police officers Senior Constable J. Wehlow and Senior Constable T. Preston from the NSW Police Force, Port Macquarie Station.

Yesterday, the first responders provided a meaningful way for children to learn about the important roles these people play and to develop a sense of respect and gratitude. Through storytelling, dress-up, creative art, visits and age appropriate educational videos from first responders the children explored how these helpers respond in emergencies, keep us safe, and work as part of a team.

During our First Responders Day activities, the children demonstrated active listening and strong communication skills as they actively engaged in conversation with the first responders. As the visiting firefighters spoke about their role and the equipment they use, the children sat attentively and responding with thoughtful questions and comments. The firefighters also expressed to the children that it is important for them to be able to confidently approach a firefighter when in need of help. Crystal explained to the children that even though they may look scary in their protective gear, they are always there to help them in an emergency.

Their excitement began to grow when the police officers arrived, with Senior Constable J.Wehlow bringing a highway patrol motorbike and Senior Constable T. Preston bringing a general duties police car. The children eagerly gathered around, listening closely as the officers as they explained the different parts of the vehicles and their uses in keeping the community safe. They asked insightful questions about the sirens, radios, various tools and protective gear, showing genuine curiosity and enthusiasm. Through group discussions and hands-on exploration, the children practiced respectful listening, took turns speaking, and communicated their ideas clearly, building both their confidence and understanding of the important work first responders do.

Celebrating First Responders Day supports children's understanding of community, builds social awareness, and fosters appreciation for the everyday heroes around them. From this very meaningful learning experiences from our local Fire and Rescue 492 unit and the Senior Constable’s from the NSW Police Force, Port Macquarie Station, the children were able to confidently express their understanding, build on each other’s thoughts, and show genuine curiosity, reflecting their growing ability to communicate effectively and respectfully in a group setting.

Our Wauchope Little Learners participated in Clean Up Australia Day today. Clean Up Australia Day is an annual event where individuals, communities, and organizations come together to clean up and protect the environment by collecting waste from local areas.
For preschool children, participating in this event provides valuable learning experiences. It teaches them about environmental responsibility, the importance of keeping spaces clean, and the impact of pollution on the planet. It also fosters teamwork, motor skills development through physical activity, and an early understanding of sustainability, helping young children form habits of caring for their surroundings from an early age.
Thank you to the Dolphins & Emu's cleaning up our outdoor learning environment.

Wauchope Little Learners returned to the library today! What a fun and exciting day for our first library group. The children were full of excitement as we walked down to the library, practising our road safety skills and observing the community around us. Our focus today was in preparation for Book Lovers Day tomorrow. The children enjoyed listening to three wonderful stories that celebrated a love for books and reading. We followed this with some lively dancing and singing before getting creative with a craft activity where each child made their own little storybook. The Dolphins did an amazing job expressing their creativity. Until next week, happy reading!
