We were incredibly honoured to host internationally renowned educator and author Tom Sherrington, creator of ‘Teaching WalkThrus’, at Loyola College today.

Tom’s visit provided a valuable opportunity for various members of staff and special guests from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools to engage with practical, evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning, supporting our continued commitment to professional growth and excellence in the classroom.

Special shoutout to Year 7 Swimming Superstar William (7/CHBA) who recently competed against the best junior swimmers in the State at the Victorian State Age Short Course Championships held at Albert Park.

William finished in 1st Place in both the U/12 100m and 200m Backstroke events and 3rd Place in 800m Freestyle.

Congratulations to our very own Raymond Setiawan on being awarded a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his exemplary dedication and outstanding contribution to the teaching and promotion of the Indonesian language by the Indonesian Embassy in Australia in partnership with the Victorian Indonesian Language Teachers' Association (VILTA).

Mr. Setiawan was presented with his certificate at 81st Indonesian Independence Day Celebration held at the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra last month.

A significant moment for our College Community last Friday as we gathered for the Solemn Blessing and Official Opening of our Ricci Centre led by the Most Reverend Thinh Nguyen DD, Auxiliary Bishop to the Eastern Region Archdiocese of Melbourne and Dr. Edward Simons, Executive Director, Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools.

The occasion provided us with an opportunity to give thanks and acknowledge the many people whose vision, commitment and hard work have brought our new STEM space to life.
