Welcome back to Term 4! We are so excited to see all of our students back after the holidays and ready for a wonderful term of learning. We would also like to warmly welcome Mrs Smith to the Junior Primary class. This term, our exciting dinosaur theme will spark lots of fun and learning, while curiosity remains a major focus as we engage our students and use best practice to support them in becoming effective learners.

Can you guess where Clancy is?

Clue 1: “Moo! My hooves have never been so sandy. The sun here sets earlier than I expect, and it's dark by about 6 o'clock all year round. My daily weather forecast is always the same: warm, warm, and a bit of rain. Where could a cow go that has no winter?"
Hint: Places near the equator don't have four seasons like we do. Why not?

🚀 Our term topic has been Space, and today our Upper Primary students blew us away with a Performance Mode showcase for their families and Junior Primary students! ✨

The students set up interactive stations and shared their learning with confidence, giving us so many fascinating facts along the way — we are all curious to find out more!

A huge well done to our amazing UP students, and to Mrs Tilley and Mrs Liebelt for guiding them through this incredible unit of learning. It was truly out of this world! 🪐

💙 Today we celebrated the wonderful Mrs O'Leary with a baby shower! 💙

We played games, guessed the baby's weight, length and birthdate, and had a giggle hunting for hidden dummies.

Mrs O'Leary, we are going to miss you so much, but we couldn't be more excited for you and Mr O'Leary as you start this beautiful new chapter. You have poured so much love into our school community, and we know you are going to be the best mum ever! 💙

Wishing you all the very best. Sending you so much love from all of us at Watervale Primary School.

Last week, we held our small school Sports Day hosted by Saddleworth Primary School, and what a fantastic day it was!

Throughout the day, our school values of happiness, respect, community and learning were on full display. It was wonderful to see our students cheering on their own school, encouraging students from other schools, trying their very best, and showing great sportsmanship in every event.

We are so proud of all of our students for the way they participated, supported one another and represented our school so positively.

A big thank you also to our staff and parents for helping to make the day such a success. Your support is always appreciated.

A very special thank you to Mrs Liebelt, who worked so hard to support the students with plenty of Sports Day practice. This preparation was clearly evident in our sprints and team games, and we are so grateful for her dedication.

Well done to everyone on a terrific day!

$6,753 raised! 🎉
The Watervale Primary School Facebook Auction 2026 has officially wrapped up, and we are so excited to announce that together we raised an amazing $6,753 for our school!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the auction such a success, the families and individuals, businesses and organisations who generously donated items, vouchers, products, services and experiences, everyone who contacted businesses, shared the auction, helped behind the scenes, joined the group and placed bids.
It really was a whole-community effort, and we are incredibly grateful for the support shown to our small school.
Funds raised will help support the establishment of our new school polytunnel. Watervale Primary School has received a $5,000 grant through the Waterloo Wind Farm Community Fund towards the polytunnel itself, and our auction fundraising will help with the additional costs needed to make it functional, such as ground preparation, gravel or suitable flooring, shelving and storage, irrigation and other equipment.
It’s exciting to see fundraising like this contributing to a project that will provide such a great hands-on learning opportunity for our students.
The following list and images recognise the businesses who donated to our auction, please support them whenever you can and help us return the generosity they have shown our school.
Thank you from PAWS and Watervale Primary School 💚
