‼️OFFICIAL OPENING OF KATU TOWN CAMPUS & MATRICULATION OF NEW STUDENTS FROM BOTH CAMPUSES

We are thrilled to announce the opening of Our New Campus at Katu Town, as well, as the matriculation of new students from both campuses.

This is a milestone for our institution as we broaden our offerings and facilities to accommodate a growing student population.

The Official Opening and Matriculation ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, 17th October 2023 at Katu Town Opposite the Rural District Ministry of Agriculture, where we will celebrate the dedication and hard work that went into creating this cutting-edge campus, with spacious classrooms and well-equipped laboratories.

Moreover, this anticipated event will host the institution's leading sponsor, Sunday Foundation, and a barrage of other dignitaries within and out of the district.

Overall, the event will be climaxed with the signing of the College Register by our students from both campuses. The occasion will exemplify our commitment to providing quality opportunities to all equipping future generations with the knowledge and skills necessary for success.

Komra Technical Institute took the lead in the maintenance of Katu Town, Fogbo Road, a vital route serving Katu Town, Agriculture, Fogbo, Mabafti, and other neighboring villages.

This road has been heavily utilized by residents, commercial and private bike riders, and other workers but faced recurring vehicle breakdowns, particularly among heavy-load delivery trucks and local commuters.

Recognizing the difficulties faced by the community, Komra Technical Institute, led by its philanthropic Proprietress, took the initiative to address this issue. We procured trips of 8/14 truckloads of ball stones for the maintenance of the road.

The maintenance project garnered appraisal from various stakeholders, commending the effort of the institute and its proprietress in championing such an initiative.

"As an institution that is curious about promoting development, we hope to re-construct the two bridges that are almost collapsing," said Madam Imma Kamara, Proprietress of the institute while addressing the workers and other commuters.

The effort ended with delicious refreshments, provided by the institute for all workers who participated in the project.

We are pleased to announce that Komra Technical Institute, formerly known as Komra Training Centre, is now open for admissions for the 2023/2024 academic year. As a reputable institution dedicated to providing quality technical education, we invite interested individuals to apply for our diploma and certificate courses.

Admission forms for the 2023/2024 academic year can be purchased at our head office located at 25 York Road, Waterloo. We encourage all prospective students to visit our head office to obtain the application form. The forms are now available for purchase.

In addition to our existing campus, we are excited to inform the public that Komra Technical Institute will be extending its facilities with a new campus in Katu Town, Newton. This expansion will provide more opportunities for students to pursue their technical education in a convenient location.

We offer a range of diploma courses designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge in various fields. The certificate and diploma courses available for the 2023/2024 academic year include:

2. Tailoring and Hotel Management.

Admission opens on Monday 10th July 2023. Help me share the good news that Komra Technical Institute ( Formerly Komra Training Centre) has incorporated new courses ( Carpentry, Gara Tie-dye, and Welding ). These new courses will be added to the old ones ( Catering and Hotel Management, Hairdressing and cosmetology, and Tailoring and Fashion Designs) to help prepare young men and women to become self-reliance and to be in a better position to provide a livelihood for themselves and their families.

In addition to the good news above, We are also pleased to inform the public that in partnership with Sunday Foundation, KTI will be operating on two campuses starting September 2023. Our main campus host the Administrative house at 25 York Road Waterloo, and the Modern structure at Katu Town, Newton opposite the Ministry of Agriculture.

We at KTI are committed to helping enhance the potential of young people in the Western Area Rural District and beyond.

Visit us on or after the 10th of July to August 31st from Mondays to Fridays to access the application form and get yourself equipped with modern skills.

Komra Training Centre is set to Host Hon Nabeela Tunis, Minister for Western Region on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023.

The weekly Inspirational talk show is a program designed to bring in celebrated and successful Sierra Leoneans who are role models in different fields to help inspire and motivate students of the above-named institution who are predominantly Rural women. Minister Nabeela will engage over one hundred students on the importance of the middle-level manpower and as well share exciting stories that will help refine their lives.
