I had a weekend away from glass and went to the Gold Coast to finally do my university graduation ceremony. I had taken some time away from glass to get a degree in Biomedical Science with the intention of going into research. I finished my degree a few years ago prior to coming out to Warwick to live and didn't get the chance to do this one final thing. I decided this was the year for it to happen so with mortar board on my head and robes in place, I took my turn on stage meeting the University Chancellor Andrew Fraser, and joined in all the festivities the day brings. A great day had by all. Now back to glass.....

I'm not one of those people who collects friends like they're Pokémon cards. I don't need a million acquaintances or a packed Christmas card list or people I have to make small talk with at the grocery store. I'm too old and too tired for that nonsense.

So if you're actually in my life you made the cut. And trust me, the cut is small. Because I don't have time for fake people or energy vampires or anyone who shows up only when they need something. I've lived long enough to know the difference between someone who's there for you and someone who's just around.

If I let you in, it's because you earned it. You didn't annoy me. You didn't waste my time. You didn't pull any of that passive-aggressive "I'm fine" garbage when you clearly weren't fine.

So yeah, if you're reading this and you're part of my life, just know you mean something to me. I don't say it often because I'm not great at the whole mushy feelings thing, but it's true.

You're one of the good ones. And there aren't many of those left. Don't make me regret saying this.

Beginner Stained Glass classes starting Wednesday August 12th and Thursday August 13th.
Each class goes from 10am-1pm and goes for 4 weeks on either Wednesday or Thursday.
Cost is $400 inclusive.

PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF SUNDAY SUITS YOU BETTER.
The dates would be 16th, 23rd and 30th August and 6th September.

With beginner classes being advertised I thought it was important to show what my students continue on to do. I run a monthly class where different and increasingly difficult techniques are taught to increase their skill levels. Here are just a couple of photos of the pieces made last month and the class this month. Last month we made a 3D terrarium and this month, a japanese lantern with flowers.
