Swinging into the end of the weekend with these little cuties!

Friendships are such an important part of early childhood, and every day at Little Buckets we see beautiful connections forming between our little learners. 💛

After the super storm across the weekend, plenty of our little ones enjoyed helping us clean up the yard from the branches and leaves. So helpful!

As Global Parents Day was celebrated on June 1st, our babies spent time looking through family photos and sharing special moments together.

The children loved identifying their mummy and daddy in the pictures, with many happily giving their parents’ photos a kiss. They were fascinated by the images, enjoying the opportunity to hold, explore and connect with the familiar faces they love most.

A simple activity filled with smiles, recognition and a sense of belonging.

Our pre kindy room enjoyed some fun farm animal activities with a sensory tray filled with lentils and little farm animals for everyone to explore.

The children loved using their senses to scoop, touch, search and play with the different materials while discovering all the animals you might find on a farm. We also spent time chatting about the sounds each animal makes, encouraging lots of laughter, learning and imaginative play throughout the activity.

This week in our room we’re excited to be exploring farm animals.

Today, the children created their very own fluffy sheep using cotton balls. Each child used a paintbrush to dip into glue and carefully spread it onto their sheep before placing the cotton balls on top to make soft woolly fur.

During the activity, we also chatted about the sounds sheep make, the colour of their fur, and all the other animals and things we might find on a farm.

A fun and creative way to build fine motor skills while learning through play.
