Cooking in the Goanna’s Room 🍳🧑🍳
The children loved the cooking experience in the Goanna’s Room. They learned through hands-on experiences as they mixed the ingredients, shaped the cookies and worked together. They enjoyed exploring the ingredients, developing their confidence and building practical skills while having lots of fun together.
These marvellous little chefs showed great interest and enthusiasm throughout the experience! Well done Goanna children!

Community Involvement 🌻
Today, some of our 3–5-year-old children had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Warrnambool Library and participate in a session with Early Childhood students from South West TAFE as part of their practical assessment.
The students created meaningful, engaging and inviting learning opportunities for the children, who appeared to thoroughly enjoy participating in the activities. We would like to thank the South West TAFE students for creating such a positive and enriching experience for the children.
Following the session, we spent some time exploring the library, where the children enjoyed reading stories together with their educators.
Community involvement is an important part of our service philosophy. We believe children learn best when they are connected to and actively involved in their local community. Experiences such as these provide opportunities for children to explore new environments, build relationships, develop confidence and engage in meaningful learning beyond our service.
Thank you for having our South West Tafe 🤩

This wall is a special place for educators and families to share appreciation, kindness and gratitude for our wonderful team of educators. 🌻
We invite you to leave a little note recognising an educator who has made a difference, gone above and beyond, supported your family, or simply brought a smile to your day.
✨ A few kind words can make a big difference! ✨
Let’s fill our wall with positivity, appreciation and gratitude for the amazing educators who care for, support and nurture our children every day. 💕

Room Leader Meeting 💭🙇♀️
These amazing meetings are held every six weeks to provide an opportunity for all Room Leaders to come together, discuss our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), and reflect on our current practices. These meetings encourage open communication, collaboration, and shared reflection across the team.
During the meetings, we discuss areas of the QIP, share ideas and experiences, identify areas for improvement, and explore opportunities for professional development. This allows Room Leaders to reflect on their practices, learn from one another, and work collaboratively towards achieving positive outcomes for children, families, and educators.
As part of our philosophy, we regularly reflect on our current practice and seek opportunities to continue growing as educators through ongoing professional development. This commitment to lifelong learning enables us to critically evaluate our approaches, embrace new ideas and strategies, and continually enhance the quality of our teaching and learning experiences.

Our big cauliflower 🪴
Today, our wonderful kitchen assistant, Kate, discovered a beautiful, large cauliflower growing in our garden! The children have been working hard each week to care for our vegetable garden by watering the plants, pulling out weeds, and helping to keep the garden healthy. Their excitement and pride in seeing the cauliflower ready to harvest was wonderful to see.
Gardening supports children's understanding of where food comes from, promotes healthy eating habits, and provides hands-on experiences that strengthen their knowledge of nature and the environment.
We are so proud of the children's ongoing commitment to caring for our garden and look forward to enjoying the fresh produce together.

Police visit to the service 👮
Today, we had a visit from the police. They talked with the children about what police officers do, how they help people, and how they keep our community safe. The children enjoyed learning about the role of the police and asking questions during the visit. They also got to be able to be a police officer for the day by wearing a uniform!
A visit from the police provides children with valuable learning opportunities. It helps them develop an understanding of the important role police officers play in keeping people safe and supporting the community. Children learn about safety, rules, and who they can go to for help if they ever feel lost, unsafe, or need assistance.
🏡 When you trust us with your child, you’re trusting us to protect their safety, wellbeing and sense of belonging, every day. Our approach to protecting children runs deeper than any one rule.
✅ The team around your child is chosen with real care and thoroughly checked before day one.
📚 Learning never stops. Our people are equipped to notice, act and speak up when it counts.
🌱 Every room, yard and routine is shaped with your child’s wellbeing in mind.
🔒 Extra checks and systems quietly reinforce our standards across every location.
🤝 You’re part of this too. Honest conversations and open doors keep us working as one.
Have a question? Our Service team is always here for it!
