Instruction in the use of equipment, tools and materials used in art forms such as relief, free standing and hanging sculpture, pottery & ceramics, various forms of printing, including lino-cut and screen-printing, mosaic and collage. Learning environments have an enormous impact on student learning. Our studio space is not only supportive and productive; promoting independence, interdependence and self motivation, but inclusive where positive relationships are built and each student is valued and respected. Students feel confident to pursue ideas, express themselves, work co-operatively and collaboratively with others and take responsibility for their learning. Students’ needs, backgrounds, perspectives and interests are reflected in the learning program. Students are challenged and supported to develop deep levels of thinking and application. Assessment practices are an integral part of their learning. Students are informed about relevant current competitions and encouraged to participate. Given opportunity to enter local shows.
