💛 Grandparents and Special Persons Day- THIS FRIDAY 💛

A little reminder for our St Pius X families Grandparents & Special Persons Day is this Friday.

We can’t wait to welcome our grandparents and special people into school for a very special afternoon with our students.

Details:
Friday 9th October @ St Pius X Primary School
12:30pm – 1:15pm: Classroom tours and activities
1:15pm – 2:00pm: Community lunch in the Courtyard (Pre-ordered sausages via CDFPay or BYO lunch)

It’s going to be a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their school with the special people who mean so much to them.

🔺🔴 Term 3 'Compassion' Award Winners🔴🔺

In Term 3, we proudly acknowledged our Compassion Award winners at our whole school assembly!

The Compassion Award recognises a student who shows exceptional empathy, kindness and understanding toward others. These children consistently go out of their way to help peers in need, offering support and encouragement. Their actions reflect the Catholic values of love and care for others, creating a warm and welcoming environment in our school community.

Through their compassion, they inspire others to act with kindness and understanding in their everyday lives.

Congratulations to our wonderful award recipients; Thea, Majella, Harper and Leah. You make our community a brighter, kind place to be a part of.

🎶💚 One week to go until Shrek- The Musical!💚🎶

The countdown is ON!

We are so excited to invite our St Pius X community to the Opening Night of Shrek the Musical on Wednesday 16 September at 6:45pm! 🎭

Get ready to enter the magical world of Far Far Away as our incredible main cast bring this hilarious, heart-warming and larger-than-life story to the stage!

But that's not all...Every St Pius X student will be part of the magic! Our students will be singing, dancing and performing together throughout the show, making this a truly special whole-school production.

We can't wait to see our students shine on stage and share all their hard work with our families and community.

🎉🥇 Celebrating our St Pius X Feast Day! 🥇🎉

What a fantastic way to celebrate our special Feast Day with Kaboom Sports!

Our students had an action-packed day participating in a variety of fun and challenging activities, with TEAMWORK at the heart of it all.

Our wonderful Student Leaders took on the important role of leading each group around the different activities. Along the way, they encouraged their teams to demonstrate respect, responsibility and safety!

We are so grateful to have such a special and memorable incursion for our students as we come together to celebrate the Feast Day of St Pius X.

A huge thank you to Kaboom Sports for helping make the day so much fun and to our incredible Student Leaders for stepping up and leading the way!

🍳🥓Father's Day Breakfast at St Pius X🥓🍳

What a wonderful morning it was at St Pius X Primary School as we came together to celebrate the special people in our children’s lives!

It was so lovely to see so many of our students enjoying breakfast and spending time with their dads, stepdads, grandfathers, mums, carers and special people, because Father’s Day is all about celebrating the people who love, support and encourage our children every day.

A huge thank you to our amazing Parents and Friends Committee for their ongoing support of our school events. Your time, energy and commitment help make these special occasions possible and create wonderful memories for our school community.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Woolworths Central for their incredibly kind donation towards our Father’s Day Breakfast. Your generosity and support of St Pius X are very much appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning such a special celebration of family, connection and community.

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful father figures in our St Pius X community! 💙

🎉 THE WAIT IS OVER… OUR 2027 TRAINEESHIP IS NOW OPEN! 🎉

We know there are some incredible young people in our St Pius X community who have been wondering… “when will the St Pius X traineeship applications open?”

Well, the time has come!

If you know a Year 12 student finishing up in 2026 who has a genuine passion for working with children and is considering a career in education, this opportunity could be for them!

Our 12-month traineeship is a chance to become a valued member of the St Pius X team while gaining hands-on experience across our school.

But this is more than just a traineeship. At St Pius X, our trainee becomes part of our school family from day one. Gaining the skills, confidence and experience to take their first steps towards a rewarding career in education.

🌟 SWPBS School Showcase – Congratulations St Pius X! 🌟

We were incredibly proud to welcome staff from St Joseph’s Primary School Warrnambool, St Joseph’s Primary School Penshurst and DOBCEL to St Pius X Primary School for a showcase of our work strengthening Tier 1 School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) practices.

Our Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader, Emma McDonald, shared our SWPBS implementation journey and the significant growth we have achieved, with our Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) improving from 30% to an incredible 80%!

This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of our entire staff team to developing consistent, evidence-based systems that support positive student behaviour, wellbeing and staff wellbeing.

A huge congratulations to Emma and all St Pius X staff on this incredible achievement. The openness, collaboration and dedication shown by our team is something we are incredibly proud of.

It was wonderful to share our strategies, challenges and successes with other schools and support their ongoing SWPBS journeys.
