“Warrnambool’s best-kept secret.”

It’s a phrase we’ve heard said with real affection over the years. While it has always been a wonderful reflection of the special community we have at St Pius X, it’s not a title we want for our school anymore.

We’re ready to be seen. We’re ready to proudly share who we are.

Tonight, we are incredibly excited to unveil our new St Pius X Primary School logo.
We love our traditional logo and the history and meaning it carries. But over time, we noticed our school’s name could sometimes get lost within it. More times than we can count, we’ve heard:
“Oh, I didn’t even know about St Pius X.”

Our new logo has been designed to change that. It puts St Pius X front and centre, giving our school a stronger, clearer and more recognisable identity.
But this is important: it’s a refresh, not a rebrand.

The heart of our logo remains the same. The familiar shape, the people who represent our community and the cross that reflects our Catholic identity have all been thoughtfully retained.

We have simply brought these important elements into a more modern, fresh and confident design. One that reflects who we are today and where we are heading tomorrow.

We know a new logo can bring questions, so we’ve created a Frequently Asked Questions page for our families. This provides more information about the thinking behind the new design and what the change means for our school community. We encourage all parents and families to take a look.

Today we celebrate Happy Principals' Day and recognise the incredible leadership of our Principal, Tristan Fay and Deputy Principal, Stacey Atkins.

Tristan, thank you for your authentic leadership, vision and unwavering belief in our school community. From the moment you joined St Pius X, you've embraced what makes our school so special while inspiring us to continue growing together. Your genuine care for every student, family and staff member make a lasting difference each day.

Stacey, thank you for the warmth, compassion and dedication you bring to our school. Your commitment to Catholic education, the wellbeing of our students and supporting those around you creates a culture where everyone feels valued, encouraged and able to thrive. Your leadership is deeply appreciated by our entire community.

To Tristan and Stacey, thank you for your passion, guidance and tireless commitment to making St Pius X a place where every child is known, valued and inspired to flourish.

🥷🏠 Hidden traps, secret passageways and plenty of creativity!🏠🥷

Last term in Japanese with Mr O'Brien, our Year 5/6 students stepped into the shoes of ninja architects, designing their very own ninja houses.

Students carefully planned a variety of rooms and spaces, incorporating hidden traps and clever features to protect their homes from unsuspecting intruders. Every design was unique, showcasing fantastic imagination, problem-solving and strategic thinking.

It was a wonderful way to combine Japanese language learning with creativity, planning and design, and the results were nothing short of impressive. Well done, Year 5/6!

🌱 Growing Together at St Pius X! 🌱

At the end of last term, our Foundation students teamed up with our Year 4 students for a wonderful morning in the Hands On Learning space, working together to refresh our school gardens.

With the guidance of our Hands On Learning teacher, Mr Bermingham, students rolled up their sleeves, got their hands dirty and replanted beautiful petunias and potatoes.

It was fantastic to see our youngest and older students learning alongside one another, building friendships, sharing responsibilities and taking pride in caring for our school environment. Experiences like these are a great reminder that some of the best learning happens outside the classroom!

We can't wait to watch our gardens and our students, continue to grow. 💚
