After quite a break, I’m coming back with a new free program.
I am feeling grateful for the opportunity to provide free ukulele classes for people with little ones in their lives next term (not just for mums).
These classes will be in person and online so you can join from anywhere. If you want to join, you’ll learn the basics of playing ukulele, and a combination of songs for you to enjoy as well as beloved children’s classics.
Follow Strummin’ Mums for updates and access to content. If you could help spread the word by sharing the page or this post, I’d hugely appreciate it. 🥰
Thank you to Warrnambool Breastfeeding Centre & VicHealth for making this possible. 🙏🏻
Great news! Warrnambool Breastfeeding Centre received a Reimagining Health Grant thanks to Vic Health that has made the Strummin’ Mums program free for you.
This project is in response to the social isolation everyone has experienced through lockdowns and aims to support our community to come together in music and song to build new relationships, strengthen community connections and learn new musical skills that you can share with your family.
While this program is called 'Strummin Mums' anyone is welcome. Strummin’ People just didn’t sound as good.
Classes will be presented both online and in-person (when possible) at the Warrnambool Breastfeeding Centre. A self paced online learning platform will be developed so you can also learn and practice from home when it suits you.
You can join the program at any time. Classes will be taught in a way that suits various stages of playing.
These sessions sun to teach mothers (and others) the basics of playing ukulele, so you can work towards playing songs for yourself and for your family.
There will be ukuleles available for use at the centre.
