📚 It's Children's Book Week — and this year's theme is Symphony of Stories 🎶

We love this one. Because a room full of children and books really does sound like an orchestra: someone's turning pages, someone's doing the voices, someone's insisting we read it again (and again), and someone's just discovered that a dinosaur can play the trumpet 🦖🎺

🔬Lab coats on. Goggles ready. Today is the BEST DAY ever!

Today our Golden Seeds children welcomed special guests from . There were fizzes, eruptions, gasps, and approximately 100+ excellent questions. Every child finished the day with their very own certificate and a great deal of pride. 🏅

Perfectly on theme for this year's Seeds of Science: big children sharing their passion with little ones. Plant the seed early, and watch what grows. 🌱

🔬National Science Week is here, and this year’s theme might be our favourite ever: Seeds of Science — Nurturing Knowledge for All.

All week our little scientists will be asking big questions, testing wild ideas and discovering that the best way to learn something is to try it yourself.

And the big one: this Friday 21 August, Year 11 students from Narrabeen Sports High School are joining us to share their love of science — think growing apples, exploding elephant toothpaste, seed planting and plenty of ”how did THAT happen?!“ 🐘🧪

💇Now taking appointments at the Golden Seeds Salon — sunglasses provided, small talk guaranteed.

Our ongoing hairdresser project in the Toddler 2 room has been an absolute joy this week. Role play like this is where children practise the real stuff: taking turns, reading how someone else is feeling, using new words, and building the fine motor control those little hands need for everything from buttons to writing.

We turn 6 today 🎂

6 years ago, Golden Seeds Narrabeen opened its doors — the very first of our family, back when we were one little seed with a big dream. Today’s the day to celebrate six years of cuddles, curiosity, questionable BUT playful decisions and children who arrived as babies and left ready for anything.

Happy birthday to the centre that started it all — and to every family who's been part of the story.

🎨There is something quite wonderful about watching a child discover that drawing doesn't have to happen at a desk — it can happen everywhere.

This week the underside of our tables became a ceiling canvas — paper above, little artists below, brushes reaching skyward. It looks like mischief, but it's designed learning: drawing overhead builds the shoulder strength and small hand muscles children need before pencil meets paper at big school.✏️

Tiny splashes, ocean-sized wonder. 🌊

To celebrate World Ocean Day our smallest seeds dived into a beautiful underwater adventure!

Our educators filled custom sensory trays with cool, ocean-blue water, seashells, textured coral and brightly coloured fish toys. Watching our nursery babies light up with pure wonder as they practiced their splashing, grabbing and scooping was absolute magic.

Tofu stir-fry with rice, Mediterranean rice with fish fillet, Beef Fatteh - you'd assume this was a restaurant menu. 🧑‍🍳

Guess again! This is just a small selection of the dishes we are serving to the little ones this Winter. Our in house cook serves five seasonal meals a day (that's right no lunchboxes to pack).
