🔅 Welcome to Week 9 of Term 3 🔅

We have a few off site learning opportunities this week with Year 3 and 4 attending Killalea State Park and then the Basketball Gala Day, Year 5 and 6 travelling to Canberra and Kindergarten visiting the Shoalhaven Zoo.

No Award Assembly this week.

The Gospel reading this weekend focuses on forgiveness. Forgiveness will give us peace.

One year ago, we lost an extraordinary educator, friend, family member, and guiding light. Today, we gathered to honour her legacy at our Remembrance Ceremony.

Happy Father’s Day to the St. Francis of Assisi Community!

Today, we take a moment to celebrate, honour, and give thanks for all the fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, foster dads, and father figures who enrich our St. Francis of Assisi family.

Following the example of St. Francis of Assisi, who showed us how to walk in love, humility, and gentle strength, you guide our community with wisdom, resilience, and unconditional care. Whether you are coaching a youth team, offering a listening ear, passing down traditions, or working quietly behind the scenes to support your loved ones, your daily sacrifices do not go unnoticed.

To those celebrating, those step-fathering, and those stepping up to mentor the next generation: thank you for being a steady foundation of love and guidance. We also keep in our hearts and prayers those remembering fathers who are no longer with us today, carrying their legacy of love forward.

May your day be filled with joy, gratitude, and good memories with the people who matter most.

This morning, we began this year’s celebration for the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation which begins the Season of Creation. Each year from September 1 to October 4, the Christian family unites for this worldwide celebration of prayer and action to protect our common home. It is a special season where we celebrate God as Creator and acknowledge Creation as the divine continuing act that summons us as collaborators to love and care for the gift of all that is created. As followers of Christ from around the globe, we share a common call to care for Creation. We are co-creatures and part of all that God has made. Our well-being is interwoven with the well-being of the Earth.

The 2026 theme, Living Water, reminds us that water is one of God's greatest gifts. It sustains all life and is a powerful symbol throughout Scripture of life, hope and renewal. We listened carefully to God's Word and considered how each of us can respond by caring for creation and living as faithful stewards of the world God has entrusted to us.
