With over 60 students currently in the program from both the Warragul and Traralgon Campuses of St Paul's, the program allows students who compete at a State, National or International level to balance their educational demands

Our first evening seminar was a resounding success with nearly 40 student athletes and their parents joining us to hear from Sophie & Alex from Game Nutrition. The focus of the evening was ‘Game Day Eating’ and the chat was abuzz with questions and comments with everyone taking away some top tips for fueling for performance and recovery.

It was great to see so many come along to listen to Australian Heptathlete Taneille Crase on June 3 at WSS and June 19 at TSS. Taneille’s presentation was fabulous and her parting sentiment “the setbacks taught me more than the victories ever did” was a timely reminder that sport teaches us resilience, discipline and perspective.

In May, Charlie (Year 7) set a new world record for his age after running an astounding 60.39km in the Front Yard Ultra – well done Charlie on an amazing effort!

It was fabulous to welcome alumni Tom Stockdale on May 11. Tom shared his inspirational journey from doing work experience with a local trainer through a 7 year apprenticeship with Racing Victoria to his winning riding on ‘Unit 5’ in the Gold Coast Magic Millions. His advice to students included ‘to have a why?’ and a reminder that if you put in the work and are dedicated, you can be good enough.

On April 24, we welcomed back representatives from the Richmond Institute to talk about their dual Diploma of Sport & Diploma of Leadership and Management. Olivia and Keeley (alumni currently working as a ‘Student Success Officer’) explained the application process and the benefits to be gained from their nationally recognised qualifications.

Congratulations to Ky (Year 10) who represented VIC Country in Melbourne on Kings Birthday weekend and will also play at the AFL National Championships on the Gold Coast in July. A huge achievement for Ky playing at the highest level available for his age in Australia, and a testament to his hard work, commitment and dedication.
