Making Writing Fun!
Learning to leave spaces between words is an important early writing skill, but that doesn't mean it has to be boring!
Our tutoring students love creating their own Spacing Wands to help them remember where one word ends and the next begins.
Not only are they a fun craft activity, but they also give students a hands-on tool to build confidence and independence in their writing.
When learning feels like play, amazing things happen!
What creative tools have helped your child with their learning journey?

Behind every tutoring session, every pencil mark, every glitter explosion and every little “I did it!” moment… is a community supporting our small business
We know times are tough for many families right now, which makes every booking, every kind word and every recommendation mean even more to us.
Over the last two weeks, we have welcomed so many new students to Write Start Education, and the majority have come from word-of-mouth referrals. That honestly feels a little bit magical.
To every parent, grandparent, student and friend who has shared our business with family, friends, school groups or community pages… thank you.
You are helping our little learning village grow, one recommendation at a time
Your support allows us to keep creating fun, engaging and personalised learning experiences for our students and we are so incredibly grateful for every single one of you

Luna Roo has bounced her way into our hearts!
We have absolutely loved being part of the 2026 National Simultaneous Storytime 2026.
Throughout the week, all of our students have enjoyed reading the story together, sharing their favourite characters, and cheering on Luna Roo and her team every step of the way.
From giggles and discussions to creative activities and big imaginations, it has been wonderful watching our students connect through the magic of storytelling.

At Write Start Education, all of our tutoring sessions are personalised not only to support each student’s learning needs, but also their interests, passions, and personality too.
Whether your child loves dinosaurs, footy, drawing, animals, science or space adventures, we believe learning becomes far more meaningful when students feel connected to what they are doing.
By weaving their interests into sessions, we help build confidence, engagement and a genuine love of learning… because tutoring should never feel like a soggy worksheet sandwich.

Tiny hands, big learning!
Simple activities like hole punching might look like just a bit of fun, but they are actually packed with learning benefits for little learners.
Hole punching helps children develop:
• Fine motor skills
• Hand strength for writing
• Hand-eye coordination
• Concentration and patience
• Bilateral coordination (using both hands together)
Plus… kids absolutely LOVE the click-clunk of the hole punch. It’s basically toddler ASMR.
At Write Start Education we love using playful little activities that help build important school readiness skills while keeping learning fun and engaging.

Kids say the funniest things sometimes
From calling a calculator a “math remote” to confidently telling us that penguins probably eat pizza… our classrooms are full of little moments that make us smile every day.
Those funny, cute and unexpected comments are often the moments we remember the most .
We would LOVE to hear them!

To all the amazing mums, grandmothers, carers and mother-figures
Today we celebrate you, the snack makers, the boo-boo fixers, the homework helpers, the early risers, and the “just one more story” readers. The ones who somehow do everything (often at the same time… with cold coffee in hand ).
Whether you’re channeling the patience of Chilli Heeler, the multitasking magic of Marge Simpson or the superhero energy of Helen Parr, just know, you’re doing an incredible job
Motherhood isn’t always picture-perfect… it’s messy, loud, exhausting, and sometimes held together with snacks and cuddles, but it’s also full of love, laughter and the most special moments.
Today is for you. We hope you feel appreciated, celebrated and maybe even get to drink a hot cup of tea for once
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Write Start Education

As we head into cold and flu season, just a gentle reminder to please keep your child home if they are unwell.
We know little bugs can pop up quickly, so we do offer make-up classes where possible with notice given.
If any signs of illness appear during a session, we will give you a call and ask for your child to be collected.
Thank you for helping us keep our learning space happy, healthy, and germ-free.

Puzzles are like little brain gyms, quietly building strong thinkers while kids are just having fun.
They help develop:
✨ Problem-solving skills
✨ Patience and persistence
✨ Memory and concentration
✨ Fine motor skills
✨ Confidence when that final piece clicks into place
Whether it’s a jigsaw, a number puzzle or a word challenge, every twist and turn is helping young minds grow.
At Write Start Education, we love using puzzles as part of our learning because play and education go hand in hand
