Snip, snip... it's time to learn to cut! ✂️

Introducing scissors to our little learners can feel like a big (and sometimes scary!) milestone for parents and educators. But it doesn't have to be.

With child-safe scissors, close supervision, and plenty of encouragement, cutting becomes a fun and engaging way to build important skills.
As children practise cutting, they're strengthening their fine motor skills, hand muscles, coordination and confidence—all while having fun!

At Write Start Education, we love helping little hands learn new skills safely, one snip at a time

Making Writing Fun!

Learning to leave spaces between words is an important early writing skill, but that doesn't mean it has to be boring!

Our tutoring students love creating their own Spacing Wands to help them remember where one word ends and the next begins.
Not only are they a fun craft activity, but they also give students a hands-on tool to build confidence and independence in their writing.

When learning feels like play, amazing things happen!

What creative tools have helped your child with their learning journey?

Behind every tutoring session, every pencil mark, every glitter explosion and every little “I did it!” moment… is a community supporting our small business

We know times are tough for many families right now, which makes every booking, every kind word and every recommendation mean even more to us.
Over the last two weeks, we have welcomed so many new students to Write Start Education, and the majority have come from word-of-mouth referrals. That honestly feels a little bit magical.

To every parent, grandparent, student and friend who has shared our business with family, friends, school groups or community pages… thank you.

You are helping our little learning village grow, one recommendation at a time

Your support allows us to keep creating fun, engaging and personalised learning experiences for our students and we are so incredibly grateful for every single one of you

Luna Roo has bounced her way into our hearts!

We have absolutely loved being part of the 2026 National Simultaneous Storytime 2026.

Throughout the week, all of our students have enjoyed reading the story together, sharing their favourite characters, and cheering on Luna Roo and her team every step of the way.

From giggles and discussions to creative activities and big imaginations, it has been wonderful watching our students connect through the magic of storytelling.

Keepy uppy + counting = the perfect combo of movement, maths and giggles

Our students had so much fun challenging themselves to see how many times they could keep the balloon up in the air while counting every single tap! From super speedy counting to some very dramatic balloon saves, there were smiles everywhere

Activities like this are fantastic for:
✨ Number recognition & counting
✨ Coordination and motor skills
✨ Focus and concentration
✨ Teamwork and turn taking
✨ Burning off a little extra energy too!

Who knew learning could float around the room like this?

At Write Start Education, all of our tutoring sessions are personalised not only to support each student’s learning needs, but also their interests, passions, and personality too.

Whether your child loves dinosaurs, footy, drawing, animals, science or space adventures, we believe learning becomes far more meaningful when students feel connected to what they are doing.

By weaving their interests into sessions, we help build confidence, engagement and a genuine love of learning… because tutoring should never feel like a soggy worksheet sandwich.
