🌟 Keeping Our Children Safe & Empowered! 🌟

Our educators recently had the wonderful opportunity to take part in a Body Safety Australia presentation with Cass. 💛

It was such a valuable and empowering experience for our team, providing us with further knowledge and strategies to support children to understand their bodies, recognise safe and unsafe situations, and confidently speak up. Most importantly, it is another way we can ensure that **our children are always at the heart of everything we do. 🫶

We’re excited to continue this important conversation with our families! 🌈

👨‍👩‍👧 Parent & Carer Presentation – This Thursday 6:00-8:00
We would love for our families to join us and learn more about body safety and how we can work together to support our children at home and in our service.

👧🧒 Children’s Sessions – In 2 Weeks!
Our children will also have the opportunity to participate in age-appropriate sessions with the Body Safety Australia team.

We encourage all our families to get involved in this really important initiative. Together, we can help our children feel safe, confident, heard and empowered. 💕🌟

🐝🌿 Supporting Our Local School Community Through Sustainability! 🌿🐝

Waterford Rise is excited to share that we are currently supporting St Angela’s of the Cross with their wonderful Trees and Plants for Bees Project as part of our commitment to supporting our local school community through our Sustainability Program.

As part of the project, we are collecting eligible 10c cans and bottles to help raise funds for pollinating plants that will support our local bee population, until the end October. 🌼🐝

We’re excited to share that we have already collected an amazing 293 eligible containers! 🎉

If your family has any eligible cans or bottles that you would like to donate to the school, you can do so by using the code provided in the image when returning your containers at the Warragul Return-It Depot.

Every 10c container makes a difference, and together we can support our local school community while helping to create a more sustainable, bee-friendly environment. 💛🌻

Thank you to our wonderful families for getting behind this initiative and helping us make a positive difference in our community!

A conversation can challenge the way we think. It can raise something we hadn't noticed. It can help us understand a different perspective.

But what happens next matters.

What can we change?
What support is needed?
Who needs to be involved?
What can we do differently?

This is where conversation becomes action.

And you don't need to have all the answers to start. Sometimes the most important thing you can say is:
“I'm not sure. Can we talk about it?”

Because a child-safe culture isn't built through one conversation. It's built through the conversations we keep having, and the action we take because of them.

It’s the quiet observations. The check ins between educators. The careful documentation. The conversations that happen behind the scenes to make sure every child is safe, supported and heard.

It’s constant, intentional and always centred on children.
