Today we welcomed Joe and Graeme from the Warragul branch of the St Vincent de Paul Society to our Feast of the Sacred Heart Mass, where we presented the items collected through our “Small Acts, Big Hearts” drive.

Following the Mass, Joe and Graeme’s cars were filled with the generous donations, ready to be distributed to those in need.

We were incredibly fortunate to welcome renowned Catholic musician Andrew Chinn to our school for a day filled with music, faith, joy and community spirit.
Andrew shared his wonderful gifts with students through engaging workshops and an uplifting concert that had everyone singing, dancing and joining in with enthusiasm. His music brought our school community together in a joyful celebration of faith.

Catholic Education Week 2026
In 2026, Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Sale are celebrating Catholic Education Week from Friday 15 May to Friday 22 May. This year’s theme, ‘Every school a home of peace’, draws on the words of Jesus: “Peace I leave with you; my own peace I give you” (John 14:27).

Catholic Education Week is a special time in our Diocese, as school and parish communities come together to celebrate their shared Catholic identity and unique mission. At St Joseph’s, we have marked this important week with a whole-school Liturgy which was held last Friday and we are delighted to welcome Andrew Chinn to our school today. Andrew’s engaging and energetic performance has brought great joy to our students, with his music inspiring participation, reflection, and a strong sense of community.

Today we celebrated the special women in our lives - our mothers, grandmothers and special friends. Our guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast and the opportunity to engage in some activites with the students.
Thanks to the Warragul Lions Club who cooked the food, the Parent and Friends for organising the catering and our wonderful staff who helped with serving and supervision.

Blessed are our mothers,
for their love, care and kindness.
May God bless them with joy, peace and strength today and always.

Happy Mothers Day!

Yesterday we gathered alongside staff from St Angela’s, St Ita’s and St Joseph’s Trafalgar for a rich and inspiring day with Fr Rob Galea.

Fr Rob’s message of hope, and his openness in sharing his relationship with Jesus, resonated deeply with many. The day offered a valuable opportunity for reflection, renewal, and connection, reminding us of the importance of our shared mission and the impact we have within our school communities.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them."
Lest we forget.

Today we concluded the term by joining with the senior classes to pray the Stations of the Cross. The students led a reverent reenactment and reflection on Jesus’ journey to the Cross, creating a truly moving experience for all involved.

Today our school community came together to celebrate St Joseph’s Day.
Our liturgy leaders guided a meaningful prayer service, with Grade 4DVB reverently proclaiming the Gospel story. Our Foundation students delighted everyone with a joyful song, bringing smiles to all.
Students also enjoyed a sweet treat of doughnuts, adding to the festive spirit of the day!
A visit from the vibrant West African drumming performance captivated the audience. Many students had the opportunity to participate and experience the rhythm and energy of drumming firsthand.
Adding a wonderful splash of colour, students dressed in red in keeping with Italian and Polish traditions, making the celebration even more special.
A memorable day of faith, culture, and community.
