ONLINE FACEBOOK AUCTION - 2023 SIGNED NRL PENRITH PANTHERS JERSEY - CLOSING 8PM 22/09/23 - TO PLACE A BID COMMENT BID AMOUNT BELOW
All proceeds will go directly to the Wowk family in support of Nicky Wowk.
2023 NRL Penrith Panthers signed jersey kindly donated by Alan Harding on behalf of the Penrith Panthers.
Nicky is a sweet and funny boy whose world turned upside down on the 19th of April 2023 when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) Type B.
Nicky was initially brought into hospital with RSV and within a few days his Leukemia diagnosis was given. Nicky has received lumbar punctures, blood transfers and multiple bone marrow samples have been taken. He is currently on a 6 month course of aggressive chemotherapy treatments that range from 2-3 times per week. He will be following that up with 18 months worth of oral chemotherapy and at home testing. Nicky has also been taken out of day care, away from his friends, as his chemotherapy treatments needs his full attention and strength to get through.
Nicky’s diagnosis has understandably taken an emotional toll on the family and has a huge financial impact as David and Megan take time away from their jobs to support their son through his battle.
As the Wowk family are trying to balance an impossible load, this fundraiser has been created to help support them financially.
No child should ever have to face such an illness and we are so grateful for your help to ease the struggles of the long road ahead. We urge any family who feels their child may be unwell to seek medical attention.
Our appreciation goes out to Caitlin Alderton for making this all possible by organising the signed jersey.
* All the proceeds will go directly to David and Megan Wowk to help cover the expenses associated with caring for a young child with Leukemia.
