πŸŽ‰ Education Week at Warracknabeal Special Developmental School! πŸŽ‰

This week, we are shining a bright spotlight on the incredible learning, independence, and achievements of our amazing students. Every school day this week, we will be sharing a special "page" from our school life to celebrate what makes Warracknabeal SDS such a vibrant place to learn and grow.

To kick off our celebrations today, we have two fantastic videos showcasing our school spirit and practical learning:

🎡 Singing with Pride: First, watch our wonderful students leading the way and singing the National Anthem. It is always a beautiful moment seeing our school community come together in Assembly, and families are welcome to join us at 2:45pm every Monday.

πŸ₯€ Trailblazers in Action: Next, take a look at Will and River whipping up some delicious milkshakes! This is all part of our Trailblazers class enterprise and food preparation program. Through hands-on activities like this, our students build wonderful real-world hospitality skills, teamwork, and independence.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication our students show every single day. Please drop a comment below to show your support, and keep an eye out for tomorrow’s highlight page! 🌟

πŸ’™ DO IT FOR DOLLY DAY - GO BLUE TO END BULLYING πŸ’™

This Friday May 8, Warracknabeal SDS will be taking part in Do It For Dolly Day, joining schools and communities across Australia to stand together against bullying.

This important day honours the memory of Dolly Everett and her wish for a kinder, safer world for all young people.

Across the school, students will be participating in a range of activities designed to build kindness, connection, and understanding, including:

πŸ’™ Wearing blue for Dolly
πŸ’™ Blue 'Kindness Wall'
πŸ’™ Blue Treasure Hunt
πŸ’™ "Bluey" Colouring Activity
πŸ’™ Blue Lego Creations
πŸ’™ Blue decorated treats

We will also be fundraising for the Dolly's Dream foundation, with an optional gold coin donation if you are able to.

Every blue shirt, every conversation, and every act of kindness helps send a powerful message: bullying is never okay, and no young person should ever feel alone.

We invite our whole school community to get involved. Wear blue, donate if you can, and help us spread kindness this Do It For Dolly Day.

πŸ’™ Together, we can help create a kinder, safer world for young people.

A reminder that this Wednesday is a Pupil Free day.
