🌏💙 Celebrating Refugee Week at Waroona Childcare 💙🌏

This week, we are proud to celebrate Refugee Week and recognise the importance of kindness, inclusion and belonging for everyone.

Through stories, conversations and experiences, our children have been learning that every person and every family has their own unique story. We have explored how being kind, showing empathy and respecting differences helps create a welcoming community where everyone feels safe and valued.

At Waroona Childcare, we believe that kindness can make a big difference. By encouraging children to care for others, celebrate diversity and embrace new friendships, we are helping to build a future filled with understanding and compassion.

Sunshine Childcare & Waroona Childcare are proud to be supporting Footy Colours Day on Thursday, 25th June 2026! 💛

Come dressed in your favourite sports team colours and join us as we help raise awareness for childhood cancers and support children and families impacted by cancer.

Every year, thousands of Australian families are affected by childhood cancer. Footy Colours Day is a fun way for our children, families and educators to come together, celebrate, and show that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. 💛🎗️

💙 Men's Health Week | 15–21 June 💙

This week, we are proud to be recognising Men's Health Week at our centre.

Men's Health Week is an important opportunity to raise awareness about the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of the men and boys in our lives. It encourages meaningful conversations, connection, support and reminds us that it's okay to ask for help when it's needed.

Throughout the week, we will have special heart notes available for children, families and educators to write a kind message, thoughtful quote or words of encouragement. Our hope is that these small acts of kindness will brighten someone's day and remind them that they are valued, appreciated and never alone.

A few kind words can make a bigger difference than we realise. Let's work together to spread positivity, show appreciation and put a smile on someone's face this Men's Health Week.

🌊 HAPPY WORLD OCEAN DAY FROM WAROONA CHILDCARE! 🌊

​Our little marine biologists dove headfirst into a hands-on, under-the-sea sensory adventure to celebrate our amazing blue planet!

​Here is a sneak peek at what our busy explorers got up to:

​🐚 Sensory Sand & Shell Sorting: We filled our big discovery trays with fine sand and real, bumpy beachcombed treasures. The children used hand-sifters to hunt for hidden shells, just like real scientists on a beach!

​🖌️ Creative Brush-Painting: Armed with paintbrushes, the children gently dusted sand off giant sea structures, examining all the cool ridges and patterns.

​💚 Making "Green Seaweed": Our clever creators even helped splash color into water to mix up a big batch of vibrant, textured pasta seaweed!

​🌟 The Big "Why" Behind the Play 🌟
​While it looks like pure, messy fun, there is some incredible learning happening behind the scenes. By exploring real elements from nature, our children are building a deep love and empathy for sea life and our environment.
