Turning on the Lights – Careers in theatre

Year 5 and 6 students recently participated in a Pathways and Partnerships project at the Arthouse Theatre in Wyong, gaining valuable insight into the operations of a working theatre. Students explored a range of careers across the industry, including lighting, stage management, and front and back-of-house roles. These experiences support Middle School students in discovering specialist CAPA pathways and the diverse career opportunities available within the creative and performing arts. Thank you to Mrs Shana Kuziow Pathways and Partnership Leader for organising this valuable learning experience.

Father's Day Celebration Friday 4 September

Our students are ready to celebrate all things Dad. Starting today with our K - 6 Father's Day Stall. Come Sunday there are going to be some very spoilt special men in the MCC community!

Don't forget Friday from 7am breakfast then our special Liturgy at 7.30 am. Come enjoy a gorgeous spring morning with our community, celebrating you!

Father's Day Breakfast and Liturgy @ MCC

On Friday 4 September we will be celebrating all the special men in our MacKillop community. If you are a father, grandfather, carer, stepfather, uncle or a special man in the lives of our students, we invite you to come along and enjoy breakfast hot off the BBQ and a special Father's Day Liturgy.

Breakfast starts at 7 am
Liturgy at 7.30 am
Open classrooms from K - 6 from 8.45 am

As part of the Liturgy, we will be showing a slide show of our special men so please email Mrs Zoe Farrell no more than 3 images by Monday 31 August.
For K - 6 students there will be a Father's Day stall on Wednesday 2 September, you can pre purchase on Qkr! gifts are $7 each and yes, there is a raffle with some amazing prizes, these can be purchased via Qkr! or on the day.

Today, we gave thanks for the outstanding leadership of our College Principal, Mrs Tanya Appleby, as she begins her well-earned retirement, during a whole-College Mass and Assembly.

Thank you, Tanya, for your unwavering dedication to 37 years in education and to MacKillop. You have truly lived the words of Mary MacKillop, in "never seeing a need without doing something about it."

A heartfelt thank you to Fr Joshi & Fr Carmelo and our staff and students who contributed to this beautiful celebration. We offer special thanks to Mrs Price, Mrs Caruana and our talented band and choir, as well as our Junior School Choir who performed a wonderful rendition of "These Hands" which provided the perfect finale.

We wish Tanya, her husband Ian and their family every blessing and happiness in this next chapter. 🍎🐝
