TEDDY BEAR PICNIC 🧸

A record number of teddy bears and Kindy students joined us for our annual Teddy Bear Picnic this year! It was a wonderful morning filled with fun activities, smiles and plenty of special moments. Safe to say, it was a huge success, and our very special teddy bear guests had the best time! 🐻💛

✨ BOOK WEEK PARADE! 📚

What a way to close out our Book Week celebrations! Last Friday the Junior School held their annual book fair parade and it was spectacular! The students' enthusiasm and creativity for their book characters was evident in the amazing costumes displayed by Kindergarten to Year 4.

🥇🏆 State Champion! 🏆🥇

A huge congratulations to Finlay in Year 6, who has won Gold in the Multiclass Snowboard Giant Slalom (GS) at the Snow Australia State Interschools Championships!

We are incredibly proud of Fin and all the hard work and determination that has gone into this fantastic achievement.

As State Champion, Fin will now progress to the National Championships in two weeks’ time, where he will proudly represent Lakes Grammar at the next level of competition.

Congratulations, Fin! We’ll be cheering you on! 👏🏂

Step into the past at Lakes Grammar and experience history brought to life by our students!

✨ 100 DAYS OF KINDY! ✨

On Friday, our Kindergarten classes celebrated hitting the exciting milestone of 100 Days of Kindergarten!

Students showed off their growth by dressing as if they were 100 days older, either channeling their inner senior citizen or dressed head to toe in bright colours. The day was full of fun 100-themed activities and a well-earned cupcake at recess. What a wonderful way to celebrate how much our Kindergartners have grown this year! 🌟

Learning. Celebrating. Connecting.

NAIDOC Week was a wonderful opportunity for our Lakes K–12 community to come together and celebrate the rich cultures, stories, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

From special assemblies led by our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to art, weaving, music, Dreaming stories, special guests Alanah and Aunty Tammy and some fun competitions, there was plenty happening across our campuses!

Our students explored the 2026 NAIDOC theme, “50 Years of Deadly”, while developing a deeper understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture and the people and stories that help shape our nation.

🌟 KINDERGARTEN 2027 | GETTING TO KNOW YOU 🌟

Our Kindergarten 2027 students showed wonderful courage this week as they took their first steps into the Lakes Grammar community at our Getting to Know You sessions. 🐛

Through stories, games and craft, our newest students began building friendships, exploring their new learning environment and getting to know their teachers.

We can't wait to welcome them back for the exciting journey ahead! ✨

🔬 CELEBRATING SUCCESS IN THE JUNIOR SCIENCE OLYMPIAD 🧪

Congratulations to our students who recently took part in the Junior Science Olympiad, a national competition designed to challenge young scientists.

With little preparation time and facing one of their first two-hour examination experiences, our students rose to the challenge with determination and resilience. We are especially proud that 5 of our 18 participants achieved a Credit, placing them in the top 60% of students nationally.

Congratulations to Eve H., Adelaide H., Mackenzie A., James M. and Lucius C. on this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of your dedication, curiosity and commitment to learning. 👏💙

💛🖤❤️ NAIDOC WEEK AT LAKES GRAMMAR ❤️🖤💛

This week, our Lakes Grammar community is taking time to observe NAIDOC Week, celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Throughout the week, our students will take part in a range of meaningful learning experiences that encourage reflection, respect and a deeper understanding of Australia's First Nations cultures.

We look forward to sharing these moments with our community as we celebrate NAIDOC Week together.
