🌟 Kindergarten 2027 Information Evening & School Tour 🌟

Do you have a child starting Kindergarten in 2027? We warmly invite you to join us for our upcoming Kindergarten Information Evening & School Tour.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our Early Stage 1 team, explore our learning spaces, and learn more about what to expect when your child begins their school journey at Porters Creek Public School. We will share information about our Kindergarten program, daily routines, transition to school, and answer any questions you may have.

📅 Wednesday, 19th August
🕓 4:00pm – 5:00pm
📍 Jirrabity-Mudu Hub

Please register your attendance using the QR code or registration link on the flyer. 2027 Kindergarten Information Night and Tour - 19th August – Fill out form

If you attended our first Information Evening, there is no need to attend this session, as the same information will be presented.
Families who are unable to attend this session are welcome to join us at our final Kindergarten Information Evening & School Tour on Wednesday, 16th September.

Children are welcome to attend; however, parents and carers may find it beneficial to attend without their child if possible, allowing them to focus on the information being shared and ask questions throughout the session.

We look forward to welcoming our future Kindergarten families to Porters Creek Public School.

🔨 Construction Week at The Nest! 🚧

Our most loved session so far! 💛

Our little builders developed gross motor skills through The Wheels on the Bus, practised listening and following instructions by joining the circle for group time when the bell rang, and built hand strength and coordination needed for early writing skills by using tongs to pick up pom poms and load their trucks. 🚚

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to The Nest in a fortnight’s time. Please note, there will be no Nest this week due to our Athletics Carnival.

We are proud to celebrate the strong NAPLAN Reading results achieved by our students in 2026.

For Year 5 Reading, 72% of our students achieved Strong or Exceeding results, compared with 66% across statistically similar schools and 69% across the State.

Our Year 3 students also performed strongly, with 65% achieving Strong or Exceeding results, compared with 61% across statistically similar schools and 64% across the State.

These NAPLAN results are a fantastic reflection of the hard work of our students and the consistent focus of our teachers on explicit teaching and high expectations for every learner.

We are incredibly proud of our students and the progress they are making in Reading.
