The Pioneer children are half way through their trip around Australia as part of their ongoing project work. So far the children have taken the Pioneer bus from NSW, into Queensland visiting farms, The Great Barrier Reef and The Daintree along the way. They have also ducked across to The Northern Territory and then down the coast of WA. Currently they have been learning about gold mines. They have learnt how gold miners used to pan for gold and made comparisons to how mining looks today.
