You might not think too much about a child inspecting a yabby he spent a long time trying to catch, only to gently put it back in the water within a few seconds. This was yet another small act of Environmental Stewardship displayed by one of our adventurers.
He had realised that the Yabby he caught was carrying a clutch of eggs. Not wanting to harm the precious cargo he watched as she burrowed back into the sand 🦞

A pattern was noticed today by one of our observant homeschoolers. We spotted this baby lorikeet poking out of the hollow to say hello, not by chance but because someone had made a connection with this particular flock and has casually observed every July/August (around her birthday) there are new babies being raised!

“The ocean does not care for the world’s distractions, and neither should you.”

We really felt this quote today, we were close to heading off for the day when a pod of dolphins began feeding off the rocks, literally jumping into the air, it was incredible to watch. Naturally we ordered some hot chips and spent the next hour sitting on the sand watching in awe as Mother Nature put on a show !
