A huge thank you to our wonderful Suzi in the office and our amazing parent helpers for their organisation of this year's Father's Day Stall. Their time, effort and generosity helped make the event a great success, with plenty of excited and happy shoppers finding the perfect gift for the special fathers and father figures in their lives.

We look forward to welcoming families to our Father's Day Breakfast from 7:45am tomorrow morning and celebrating together as a school community.

Congratulations to our students who received the Sacrament of First Communion on Sunday. It was a very special celebration for the students and their families as they received Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time.

It was heartwarming to welcome so many grandparents, family members and special visitors to our school for our Grandparents Day and Book Week celebrations. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special. Seeing our students share this time with the people they love was truly beautiful.

The excitement continued with our Book Week festivities, where the creativity and enthusiasm on display were incredible. The Book Fair was a huge hit, and our students certainly impressed with their amazing costumes, bringing favourite book characters to life in spectacular fashion!

Celebrating the Feast of the Assumption

Our Corpus Christi community recently came together to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, one of the most significant feast days in the Catholic Church.

The Assumption celebrates our belief that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was taken body and soul into heaven at the end of her earthly life. This feast reminds us of Mary's faith, trust and unwavering commitment to God's plan. She is a model of discipleship who inspires us to listen to God's call, respond with courage and place our hope in His promises.

Through prayer, reflection and celebration, students deepened their understanding of Mary's special role in our faith and reflected on how they can follow her example by living with kindness, humility and faith each day. As a Catholic school community, we give thanks for Mary's loving guidance and the hope her Assumption offers to all believers.

Last week, our Corpus Christi community came together to celebrate the Feast of St Dominic, the founder of the Dominican Order. St Dominic dedicated his life to truth, learning, prayer and sharing the Gospel with others. As a Dominican school, his example continues to inspire us to be seekers of truth, lifelong learners and people of compassion who bring the light of Christ to the world.

Our celebration began with a special Mass, where we gathered in faith and gratitude for the Dominican tradition that shapes our school community. Following Mass, students from Kindergarten to Year 6 took part in our much-anticipated Dominiquest, working collaboratively through a series of engaging STEM challenges. These activities encouraged creativity, problem-solving, teamwork and perseverance, reflecting the values of inquiry and learning that are at the heart of Dominican education.

It was wonderful to see students embracing the spirit of St Dominic through both prayer and action, demonstrating curiosity, courage and cooperation throughout the day. What a fantastic celebration of faith, learning and community!

Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the 2026 Corpus Christi Public Speaking Finals last week. After developing and presenting speeches, representatives from Kindergarten to Year 6 took to the stage to showcase their confidence, creativity and communication skills. Students impressed the audience with engaging speeches on topics including Toys, Dreams, Rules, Fame, Heroes and Teamwork.

We are incredibly proud of every finalist for the courage and enthusiasm they demonstrated in sharing their ideas. A special congratulations the top two place-getters in their respective stages who will represent Corpus Christi at the North Regional Public Speaking Competition.

Well done to all our finalists for their outstanding efforts and for showing the power of finding and using their voice!

This morning, our school community gathered to celebrate the Feast of Saint Mary MacKillop with a thoughtful and prayerful liturgy. As Australia’s first saint, Mary MacKillop dedicated her life to serving others, especially those who were poor, vulnerable and in need. Guided by her faith and her belief to “never see a need without doing something about it”, she inspired countless people through her compassion, courage and commitment to education.

As young Australian Catholics, Mary MacKillop’s example reminds us that we can make a difference every day through simple acts of kindness, inclusion and service. Whether we are helping a classmate, showing care for someone who is lonely, supporting those in need, or standing up for what is right, we continue her mission of love and hope. May we be inspired to follow in her footsteps and look for opportunities to help others in our school, parish and wider community.
