This morning at Chapel, our community gathered for such a special time of worship, fellowship and morning tea.

We were honoured to welcome Petr Jašek from The Voice of the Martyrs as our guest speaker. His powerful message was both challenging and deeply inspiring, encouraging us to remember those who are persecuted for their faith and to use our own voices to stand with others.

“We can be the voice of the voiceless people.”

We are very grateful to Petr for sharing his remarkable story and message with our community

Meet the MST community👋

Meet Dr Kirk Franklin, Lecturer in Missional Leadership at MST.

Kirk brings decades of experience in global mission, intercultural engagement and leadership. After growing up in Papua New Guinea, he served in media, communications and executive leadership roles with Wycliffe, including 12 years as Executive Director of the Wycliffe Global Alliance.

Today, Kirk draws on this experience through his research and teaching, helping students explore mission, collaboration and leadership across cultures.

We’re grateful to have Kirk as part of the MST community!

This morning, we were privileged to hear from Dr Daniel D. Lee as he explored the theme, “Family as Calling and Context for Formation”.

It was an enriching session on the intersection of ministry, family and spiritual formation, reminding us that leadership is not simply about balancing competing priorities.

It is about allowing God to shape both our public ministry and our private relationships as part of one unified calling.

Thank you, Dr Lee, for sharing your wisdom with our community.

If you've ever felt depressed or overwhelmed about the state of the world, this workshop is for you.

Our friends at .mst are running a workshop this weekend about eco-anxiety, how technology has helped it spread, and how Christian contemplative tradition can help us live with hope.

Dr Andrew Shepherd is flying in from New Zealand to talk. He's been researching how technology and social media have amplified the spread of eco-anxiety, has a keen interest on how young people can overcome the doom and gloom modern technology brings using techniques from the Bible.

This is going to be a hybrid workshop, which means you can tune in online if you can't make it in person!

What place does prayer have in the busyness of everyday life?

In his latest Chapel message, “Prayer: No Longer a Footnote,” our Acting Co-Executive Principal, Andrew Pham, reflects on Jesus’ teaching in Luke 11:5–13.

Andrew encourages us to approach God with boldness, pray with persistence and trust in His goodness, even when the answer is unclear or seems slow to come.

“Whatever is on your heart, keep praying. Pray persistently and audaciously, knowing that God is good and that He loves you deeply.”

May prayer become more than an afterthought. May it be at the heart of how we live, learn and follow Jesus.

It was wonderful to have our MST and Eastern College Australia students together on campus today.

We worshipped together, heard some exciting announcements (spoiler alert: they involve ☕ and 📚) and were encouraged by a powerful message from our Acting Co-Executive Principal, Andrew Pham.

Chapel was followed by a wonderful time of connection and conversation over morning tea.

We’re grateful for these opportunities to worship, learn and grow together as a community.
