There's no greater compliment than being invited back for a second year running to deliver the Self-care Workshop to another amazing group of PhD Students at CSIRO.

With such phenomenal feedback shared last year, our client Nicola was keen to get Jessie back in the room for 2026 to explore what self-care looks like, feels like and can provide PhD students undergoing intensive periods of study and work.

Applying an evidence-based approach, students explored when, where and how they can incorporate regular self-care into their daily practice, while aligning habits with their personality, lifestyle and preferences.

Small habits shape big workplace outcomes.

When individuals are feeling distracted, burnt out, unmotivated or stuck in unhelpful routines, the issue often isn’t a lack of intention.

It’s habit.

Our **Power of Habits Workshop** helps teams understand why we do what we do, while learning how to build healthier, more sustainable routines that support wellbeing, focus and performance.

In this session, participants explore:

* Why habits form and why they can be hard to break
* The habit loop and how it drives everyday behaviour
* How to reduce unhelpful habits that impact wellbeing and productivity
* Practical ways to build routines that support sleep, movement, nutrition, focus and goal achievement
* How personal habits influence stress, burnout and work-life balance

For organisations including workplaces, sporting clubs and community groups - like this session delivered with the Women of Merri-bek Program and YMCA - this workshop is a practical way to help people feel more in control of their daily behaviours, rather than a victim of them.

Did you know that Mental health and substance use disorders are the third highest contributor to disease burden for Australian men, accounting for 13% of their total disease burden?

But many men still wait until stress, fatigue or emotional strain becomes difficult to manage before seeking support.

In the workplace, this can look like:
- Withdrawing from the team
- Irritability or short responses
- Working longer hours but feeling less productive
- Avoiding support or saying “I’m fine”
- Loss of motivation or energy

This Men’s Health Week, workplaces have an opportunity to make support feel more normal, practical and accessible.

That starts with creating a culture where asking for help is seen as responsible, not weak.

And where leaders model this behaviour, rather than simply encouraging others to do it.

Stress management isn’t about doing less but rather harnessing your energy more strategically.

The Yerkes-Dodson Curve demonstrates that we often perform best when we’re in our optimal arousal zone. This is where we're not under-stimulated, not overwhelmed, but alert, focused and engaged.

One simple workplace strategy? Start noticing when you naturally feel most switched on during your workday, then schedule your most challenging tasks during that window.

It’s a practical way to improve focus, reduce unnecessary stress and work with your brain instead of against it.

This is one of the many simple, evidence-based tools we explore in our Stress Management Workshop, helping individuals better understand their stress response while implementing practical strategies to optimise performance and productivity.

Self-awareness is one of the most powerful foundations for better communication, stronger relationships and more effective teams.

The Self-Awareness Workshop helps employees understand how their beliefs, assumptions, experiences and perceptions influence the way they communicate, respond to others and navigate workplace situations.

Through practical reflection, group discussion and interactive activities, teams learn how to move from judgement to curiosity, reduce misunderstandings and build more empathetic, respectful ways of working together.

Perfect for teams wanting to strengthen communication, trust, collaboration and emotional intelligence.

Why do we collect anonymous feedback? It allows participants to share how they truly feel.

Some of our best ideas have come from participant feedback - A telling sign individuals are really engaging and connecting during a session.

Plus, it's always so rewarding to share positive feedback like these comments with our facilitation team who are so passionate about what they do!

1. Behind the decks: I’m a DJ in my spare time — nothing gets me in flow like a good trance set.

One of the biggest pieces of feedback we hear from organisations is that they want training and wellbeing initiatives to feel genuine, ongoing and embedded into culture - not just a once-a-year activity.

That’s one of the reasons our virtual wellbeing packages have become so popular for organisations with multiple locations, hybrid teams or national workforces.

Plus, when you book 4+ sessions per year, you'll benefit from up to 25% off your total investment.

A simple way to create more continuity, stronger engagement and ongoing conversations around employee wellbeing throughout the year.
