What a joy it was to celebrate the graduation of our students from Melbourne School of Theology and Eastern College Australia 🎓✨

Recently, we gathered as one community to recognise the hard work, perseverance, and growth of our graduands. Two colleges, one community, united by a shared passion for learning, formation, and serving God.

From lectures and late-night assignments to friendships, formation, and ministry preparation this milestone represents so much more than a qualification.

We are deeply thankful for each student and the unique calling God has placed on their lives. It has been a privilege to walk alongside you during your studies, and we look forward to seeing how God continues to lead and use you in your communities, churches, workplaces, and ministries.

From coffee and conversations on arrival, to worship in Chapel, a fascinating talk with Dr. Andrew Brown, morning tea, and breakout sessions, it was such a special opportunity to give future students a glimpse into life at Eastern College Australia.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today. We loved having you on campus and hope you left with a real sense of the community, learning, and faith that shape Eastern.

1st Combined Chapel of 2026

It was a joy to gather today for our first combined chapel of 2026 with our friends from Melbourne School of Theology.

The room was full as returning and new students came together to begin the year in prayer, committing this semester, our learning, and our calling to God.

We heard the message from Acting Co-Executive Principal Dr Michael Bräutigam, and Acting Co-Executive Principal Andrew Pham prayed for our staff and volunteers who faithfully serve our community.

There was a wonderful sense of community in the room as students, staff, and faculty gathered together at the start of a new year.

We begin 2026 with expectation and gratitude for what God will do in and through this community.

It was such a joy to welcome both returning and new students today.

We invite you to join us in praying for our students, that as they seek and learn this year, they would grow in wisdom and confidence to live out their faith in every vocation God calls them to.

Grateful for the year ahead.

This counselling study pathway offers a clear and supported journey for students discerning professional practice and vocation.

Students begin with the Graduate Diploma of Counselling through Australian Institute of Family Counselling, then progress into the Master of Counselling at Eastern College Australia, with 50% of the Master’s degree credited.

The result is a seamless transition, reduced study time and cost, and a strong focus on professional competence, personal formation, and faithful practice.
