The aim of the Victorian Jazz Improvisation Workshops is to foster an interest in, and enable musicians to keep alive TRADITIONAL JAZZ. The spirit of improvisation and creativity within disciplined parameters such as in this art form can be a very rewarding experience for both musicians and listeners, regardless of age, but education is the key. Inspired by Marina Pollard's workshops at the Australian Jazz Museum, Jazz Running Wild tackle trad jazz tunes with the enthusiasm and confidence of youth, spliced with a genuine respect for genre. Jazz Running Wild are an U25 group showcasing that trad jazz is alive and well even amongst our youth!

See them play on Sunday 11am at the Mechanics Hall and 2pm at the Library Hub.
