The PrimeSCI! Synchrotron Education Team is excited to welcome you to the ANSTO Australian Synchrotron! Learn how the Australian Synchrotron combines science and technology to produce cutting edge research.

Join PrimeSCI! for the "Interactions of Light & Matter" (Year 10 - 12) hands-on physics lab sessions. Participants can take part in experiments using specialised equipment to learn about the diffraction of light (both single and double slit diffraction and interference), the Photoelectric Effect and Emission Spectra.

The "Molecular Interactions and their Effects" (Year 10 - 12) lab session is aligned with the VCE Chemistry Curriculum, with hands-on experimental application of colorimetry and spectroscopy.

Both programs also include a tour of the Australian Synchrotron - a rare chance to see this world class facility.
