Welcome to Aussie Hoops, Basketball Australia’s official introductory program for 5-10 year olds and their families.

Aussie Hoops is a national program which provides an environment where children of all abilities can achieve on the court and reap the rewards of skill development, enhanced self-esteem, social co-operation and grassroots sports participation. Aussie Hoops introduces children to basketball in a structured and accredited environment that connects our game at the grassroots through to the elite level.

We’re excited to announce Alice Springs Basketball Association as the Ford Aussie Hoops Centre of the Month for July!

Alice Springs Basketball Association has done a fantastic job growing its program and creating a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds. With participation steadily increasing, strong participant retention, and a flexible approach that caters to local families, ASBA is building a strong foundation for the future of basketball in Alice Springs.
A special mention goes to Coach Ralph, whose knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion for the game continue to inspire participants and drive the success of the program.

Congratulations to Basketball NT and Alice Springs Basketball Association on this well-deserved recognition and for the fantastic work they’re doing to grow the game!

We’re excited to announce Ballina Basketball Incorporated as the Ford Aussie Hoops Centre of the Month for June!

Ballina Basketball has done an outstanding job creating a fun, welcoming, and inclusive Ford Aussie Hoops program. Their clear development pathway, age-appropriate programs, and supportive environment ensure every participant has the opportunity to build confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy the game.

By fostering strong connections with families, empowering junior representative players to mentor younger participants, and creating opportunities for girls to thrive through dedicated sessions, Ballina has built a positive community where children feel supported, engaged, and excited to return each week.
