Dear all,
It is with great pleasure to advise you that Sensei Steve had passed his black belt exams and he now holds a sho Dan (first level black belt).
Steve promotions came with no surprise to any of us, as we know his excellent judo knwoeldge and judo understanding, but it was paramet to present this in front of a grading panel.
Steve started judo as a beginner at Olympia Judo club in 2015, from the beginning, exhibited a special interest for the sport. His time as a student find his to achieve his 1 Kyu (brown belt) in 2018.
Since them he achieved a State Level Referee status for Shiai competition, State level Kata judge level and for over 2 years he is delivering judo classes at Mackillop judo club.
Achieving a Black belt in judo requires dedication. determination and passion. The promotion to this level opens the door to a more detailed technical learning to the unexplored and unfamiliar judo knowledge.
A special thanks also goes to Mr Jake Bell for participating and proven to be an exceptional uke (partner) for gradings.
We congratulate Steve for his latest achievement and we wish him well for his future judo carrier.
Kind regards
Sensei Stephanos
