WPS FACTION ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
Congratulations to Mr Hourani on yet again another very well organised athletics carnival - you really do know how to make them run like clockwork Mr H! And weren’t we blessed with the weather!
A BIG thank you to all our wonderful parents who came and supported on the day - especially our P&C for their yummy cake stall, and to our staff and students for the energy and enthusiasm they displayed throughout the day. And the winners were….. Yonga for the athletics shield and Kaarda for the RISE shield. Well done everyone!

WANNEROO PS - Yr 6 POINT PERON CAMP
Last day of camp today and still so many activities to do! It’s been a great morning and now students are on the buses coming home. Be warned parents – they’re coming home tired! But they’re very, very keen to share with you all that they have achieved over the past two days.
I would just like to say that as their principal I have been incredibly proud of the way they have behaved whilst away on camp over the past three days. They have supported and encouraged each other through all the different challenging tasks and been commended many, many times on their teamwork and behaviour by the camp supervisors. They certainly deserve a well earned rest over the weekend! I’m guessing they’re going to sleep well! 😀

WANNEROO PS - Yr 6 POINT PERON CAMP
Dinner last night was roast chicken with roast veggies and gravy. It proved very popular, with many children going back for seconds!
Breakfast both mornings has been delicious - cereal, bacon, eggs, baked beans, toast etc! It’s all been yummy!
Oh, and by the way, the winner of the dorm competition last night was………. the girls!
So it is one point to the girls and one point to the boys!

WANNEROO PS - Yr 6 POINT PERON CAMP
Our Yr 6 students have been practising their bed making skills over the past two days. Last night the boys won the best looking dorm competition! Who will it be tonight?!
The girls are taking it very seriously - they’ve somehow found a vacume cleaner to see if that will give them an advantage!
The result will be announced after dinner! 😀

WANNEROO PS - Yr 6 POINT PERON CAMP
It certainly has been a busy morning! The day started with an early morning walk followed by a scrummy breakfast, after which it was straight into activities. Some of these activities certainly are challenging, but what we’re loving is that everyone is giving it a go. The smiles on faces once they’ve achieved what was the challenge are just “gold”! That word came from one of our students! They really are doing a great job parents! 👍😄

WANNEROO PS - Yr 6 POINT PERON CAMP
It certainly has been a great first day for our camp! In our debrief tonight our students had many, many highlights they wanted to talk about – it was so lovely to hear. Rest assured oarents- everyone is certainly having a great time! We did make it into our beds by 9:30 pm but it took us a little while to settle. Fingers crossed we have a good night’s sleep ready for another day of activities tomorrow!🤞😀

What do you do on a rainy day? - You have Pizza with the Principal!

Today one student from every class was chosen to have lunch with Mrs Short and Mrs Orzel. How did they get chosen you ask?

Students were chosen by their teacher for engaging regularly in their reading program including STRIVE and home reading.

There were big smiles and a delicious smell throughout the office. Can't wait for Week 10 when our next lucky readers are chosen. Keep reading everyday.

Congratulations Hunter, Kaitlin, Hurley, Wallace, Arlo, Scarlett, Alyssa, Brodie, Ayden, Penelope, Tia-Lee, Malakai, Jet, Aila and Ava.

Today we got to celebrate and thank our amazing P&C with a special morning tea and assembly.

Our P&C play a vital role in supporting the life of a school. It brings together parents, carers, and community members to work in partnership with staff and contribute meaningfully to students’ education and wellbeing. Through fundraising, community events, and practical support, the P&C enhances school resources, builds community spirit, and strengthens connections across the school.

On behalf of the staff, students, and families—thank you. Thank you for your time, your heart, your energy, and your remarkable legacy.

We are truly grateful for everything you do.
