We're so grateful to the Wangi Wangi Lions Club for their $500 donation to Peter Pan Preschool! This wonderful contribution will go directly towards new resources for our children.

As we celebrate 30 years of Rathmines Butchery, we’re reminded just how special it is to be part of this community. ✨

Keeping a small local shop going over the years means so much to us… but it simply wouldn’t be possible without YOU - our wonderful, loyal customers.

Some of you have been with us since day one, others have only just discovered us… and we’re truly grateful for every single one of you.
Your support, your chats, your stories, they’re what make this place what it is. This is our chance to give a little back and say a heartfelt thank you.. 🫶🏼

🌿 Professional Development: Murrook Cultural Centre 🌿

Our educators spent the day at Murrook Cultural Centre, learning about connection to Country through a traditional Smoking Ceremony, storytelling on the dunes, and even discovering fresh water beneath the sand.

A huge thank you to Uncle Justin for so generously sharing his knowledge, stories and culture with us. We can't wait to bring what we've learned back into our program! 💛🖤❤️

It has come to our attention that there has been another service with the same name “peter pan” involved with the current investigation around a person working in early childhood services. We want to assure our families and community that it is not our preschool.

Last year, our educators attended the Pay Fair for Preschool Action Day, joining community preschool educators from across NSW in advocating for equitable funding to support educator wages.

While the Australian Government introduced the 15% Worker Retention Payment for educators working in Child Care Subsidy (CCS) services, community preschools funded through the NSW Start Strong program were not eligible for this funding.

This created a significant challenge for many not-for-profit community preschools that are equally committed to attracting and retaining qualified educators.

Over the past 18 months, the Children's Services Award has seen a number of wage increases, reflecting the value and importance of the work early childhood educators do every day. As a community-based not-for-profit preschool, we support these increases and remain committed to providing fair and competitive wages for our team.

At the same time, we continue to balance rising wage costs with our goal of keeping preschool accessible and affordable for local families. Without access to the same wage funding available to CCS services, community preschools across NSW have been working hard to maintain quality education and care while managing increasing operating costs.
