What an incredible turnout this morning at our Father’s Day Breakfast!

We were thrilled to welcome so many WWPS dads, carers, grandfathers, uncles, and special father figures. We hope everyone enjoyed their bacon & egg rolls, coffees from and quality time with their kids in the playground. We truly loved having everyone there with us.

A huge thank you to our amazing P&C, parent volunteers and school staff for their support with breakfast and the Father’s Day Stall – your efforts made the day extra special.

This week our Stage 3 HPG Writing Group got the opportunity to spend some time with author, Kaitlyn Graham. After hearing her read her book, 'We Wished on the Stars', and share the story of its evolution from a personal story to a beautiful, published picture book, they zoomed in on the small details and asked many questions.

We encourage all parents and carers to watch this short reel on the impact of devices and social media on children. The reel is based on the research of Professor Jonathan Haidt. Your child’s development and mental health are at risk if you allow them access to social media.

Attention LWSL parents and carers,
This afternoon during one of the games there was a very unsavory incident involving a parent being verbally aggressive towards a student (9-year-old) and a teacher. We do not accept nor tolerate this behaviour.
We are not professional umpires
We do not have VAR technology to assist decisions
We are not playing for the World Cup
We are doing our best to provide an opportunity for 168 students that is beyond the scope of our regular duties
We will not tolerate a grown man intimidating a 9-year-old.

We would like to remind all spectators of the Code of Conduct presented across the 4 schools to all parents and carers. If you cannot abide by this, you are not welcome at any LWSL game. We reserve the right and have the authority to ban parents and carers from future events.

To the 99% of parents and carers who this does not apply to, thank you for your support. Thank you for understanding what we are trying to achieve with our league - an opportunity for High Potential and Gifted athletes, to create positive memories and bring communities together.
