80 years ago today 156,000 men hurled themselves at Hitler's Atlantic wall in what we now know as D-Day. You could argue that it was the most crucial day in the 20th Century. And those men carried the day through and achieved victory, not only on D-Day but through to final victory in the following May. Many of those young men now lay in peaceful cemeteries across Normandy. They should never be forgotten and we, should always be grateful. The price for the freedom we enjoy, was paid by others.
