Every day at Capers is about child safety, however we have had so many more opportunities this past week to further children’s sense of agency and allow them to feel even more safe, secure & supported!
We recently received a special visit from Ditto at Bravehearts.
The children engaged in a child-friendly experience regarding their personal safety and the safe people in their lives!

Thank you to Wamuran Rural Fire Brigade for allowing our entire centre to visit during fire safety week!
The children explored the equipment as well as had discussions about fire safety!

To show our gratitude and support ahead of bush fire season, Capers will be taking donations right up until Christmas to pass onto the brave fire fighters in our community.

Our Possums went for their monthly community walk yesterday. While they were out and about with Miss Hannah, they found pine cones, bottle brush, and lots of green trees. Their favourite thing was waving at the trucks and construction workers.

To extend on our Goannas ocean project space, they were lucky enough to go to Sea-life at Mooloolaba on Monday.
Our Goanna friends got to see so many different kinds of ocean animals, even watching the Seal show while having some lunch.
Thank you to our amazing Parents who came along and made our day even more special.

Your donation will help recruit, screen, train, and match a “Pyjama Angel” with a child who needs them most. These volunteer mentors do more than read books or help with homework. They build trust, confidence, and a love of learning that can change the course of a child’s life.

Together, we can help children in foster care dream bigger and believe in themselves.

On Tuesday last week, team members from our Clayfield, Northgate and Samford Centres attended the National Sorry Day- Teralba Park Ceremony which is run by the Teralba Park Stolen Generation Support Group Inc.

At Capers Early Learning we acknowledge National Sorry Day as a day of remembering those children and families that were taken from their loved ones and the impact this had on their lives. This was also an opportunity for learning and reflection of how we can continue on our journey towards Reconciliation.
