Nature never ceases to amaze me and provide inspiration. Out walking this morning I noticed, with awe, this old wilga tree. At its gnarly base a single tree and over the years how it has adapted to its environment. Growing around the fence over time - creating a multiple trunk that curves and swirls. One but many. So many lessons for us as humans. How can we adapt to life circumstances? And what beauty that adaptability creates. It is time we move away from being sold the story of bigger, stronger, perfect and fall in the love with our own unique life story.

This wonderful article, written in 1978, holds so much wisdom for life in 2021. It feels to be lying at the root of what my purpose as a Life Coach is to enable. Saying yes to the erotic, uncoupling it from the bedroom and it's degradation to the pornographic. This week Peter and I have been blessed by the birth of a new granddaughter. Watching her over FaceTime with her besotted parents is such a sublime feeling. As I type this, I can feel the warmth of that permeate my body. Over the last few years, I have been pondering the concepts of presence and also the feminine energy of receptivity. In a world that is so biased towards and values action. It feels so out of balance. Looking into Sadie's little persona - she is in a space of total receptivity and being with what at. It is totally captivating. You feel yourself being drawn into her presence. That does not mean passivity as any young parent will know. But a devotion to what is happening in the moment. I reckon we have much to learn from small babies around receiving, being with what is. In our busy lives, the gift of our unadulterated attention is perhaps the most loving act we can take - for others and ourselves. I'd love to hear your thoughts?

How has your Hero's Journey been unfolding over the last weeks? Has it been a bumpy, tumultuous road or is life feeling simpler? If you are like me - there have been elements of both. Holding those polarities can feel challenging. The cultural storyline of rugged individuality is being severely shaken and for that I am grateful. It is a serious illusion to see ourselves as separate or at the 'Top of the Foodchain'. A itsy bitsy virus has shown us that well and truly! We are deeply interdependent and there is such beauty in that. And it can be a huge challenge to let go of another powerful illusion - that we are in control. I drew a guiding card this morning and it feel right to share it with these ponderings. Enjoy seeing what arises when you do indeed Let Go. I'd love to hear what feels like is in need of letting go of in your life.

Joseph Campbell has had a powerful influence on my life since my 30's. Sharing this for so many reasons. We are all on Hero's Journeys and especially now as a global collective. This is a deep time for reflection and change. Joe has a powerful line around 'Following Your Bliss' Have you been on that path? Or in a rut? This is a time when the planet is calling us all to do that.
Sounds impossible you might say.IT IS NOT!
And when you do. To again coin Joe Campbell 'The universe will open doors when there were only walls'
