Our Story
Welcome to Sandy's FDC. I am a fully qualified educator with over 14 years experience in childcare. I am registered through Regional Choices scheme and I am CCB and CRN Approved. I offer care from the ages 1- school age, vacation care, weekend care and overnight care.
Sandy’s FDC implements a value based curriculum incorporating the early years learning framework guided by the national quality framework. The curriculum will be based on the children’s interests, discoveries and what makes sense to them in today’s world through real life experiences. Sand’y FDC teaches the children life skills with authentic experiences such as gardening, cooking, caring for our pets, arts and crafts, music, dance, the tool area and our little forest area. Through Community excursions ranging from visiting our local Nursing Home, the Library, the Beach, local parks and play groups the children will develop and enhance their social interactions in a larger scale.
Living on acreage has an advantage the children are always outdoors experiencing all elements of nature sunshine, wind and rain and mud. The gumboots will come out and the children will explore these fantastic nature opportunities through well supervision.
