CASUAL DIPLOMA EDUCATORS WANTED
About the opportunity:
Our Centre is now looking for a Diploma trained Educator who is passionate about working alongside children in their early years and will contribute to a team that values open communication and sees children as competent and capable learners.
Our Centre is proud of their large, natural outdoor spaces for children and educators to learn and explore together.
The hours of work can vary with the centre being open from 8.30am - 4.00pm on Monday and Tuesday and 8.00am - 2.30pm Wednesday – Friday.
About you
You will be an organised, self-starter, passionate about community, early education and possess a creative vision. You must be committed to continuous improvement, through a collaborative approach with colleagues, community, families, and children. Previous Educator experience is desirable but not essential. You must be an approachable team member amongst the community of families, children, and employees. You will have the following:
Essential
- Diploma in early childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification)
- Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
- Hold or willing to obtain a paid Blue Card or Exemption Card
- Drivers Licence or own transport
- Excellent Computer/ iPad skills
Desired
- Experience in working with a Kindergarten program and curriculum.
- Passion for creating and delivering a stimulating learning environment
- An awareness of the National Quality Framework and Queensland Kindergarten guidelines
- An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
- Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories
- Evidence of sound professional experience that shows initiative and a strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to personal development; and display of courage in the provision of advice and decision making
