Granite Belt Highland Station Excursion 🐐🐑🐓

What an amazing adventure for our little Snoopy children! Today we headed out to Granite Belt Highland Station as part of our learning journey and what a day it was!

The children had an absolute blast feeding the animals, brushing their fluffy coats, and meeting the alpacas, chickens, and goats up close. 🐐🐓🐑

There were buckets of food going everywhere — and not a single animal went hungry! The excitement was contagious and the smiles were non-stop!

A huge thank you to Kylie at Granite Belt Highland Station for welcoming us and making this experience so special.

Bernies Room - Kindy

It’s been a while since we’ve shared an update from our Preschool/Kindy room, but that certainly doesn’t mean the learning has slowed down!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been busy exploring, questioning, and discovering through hands-on experiences. Our young learners have been deeply engaged in science investigations, asking wonderful “what if…?” and “how can we…?” questions, and making predictions about what might happen next.

We’ve also been strengthening our literacy skills by practising how to write our names with growing confidence and pride. Alongside this, we continue to develop important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and working together as part of a group.

It’s been beautiful to see curiosity, collaboration, and confidence growing every day.

Thursday saw a lovely day out at Girraween National Park with our little learners—exploring, discovering, and enjoying the magic of nature 🌿

Tiny feet on the trail, little hands reaching out to feel leaves and rocks, and lots of smiles along the way. Our nursery children loved being outdoors, taking in the fresh air and enjoying the beauty all around them, a hit about the excursion was the information centre with information about animals, cuddling up to the wombat statues, enjoying a picnic in the fresh air and sunshine

It was a gentle, joy-filled day of connection with nature and each other—full of wonder, curiosity. I wonder what our next adventure will be!

A huge heartfelt thank you to our incredible **first responders** — Wallangarra Police and Wallangarra Rural Fire Service 💙🚒

Our children at **Lillies Cubby House** absolutely loved seeing how the fire truck works, watching the flashing lights, and hearing the siren 🚨🚒. It was definitely a highlight of their day!

Some of the littlies were even lucky enough to sit inside the truck and hold the fire hose, which made the experience extra special.

It was also a wonderful opportunity for the children to say hello, ask questions, and build positive connections with the police officers, and local rural fire service officers who help keep our community safe.

We sincerely thank Wallangarra Police and the Wallangarra Rural Fire service for taking the time to visit Lillies and share in these special moments with us.

Thank you again for your time, patience, and for all that you do every single day to keep our community safe. We are so grateful for everything you do. 💛

✨ A Day in the Life of Our Toddlers – Denzel Room

Our Denzel Room friends have been busy learning, exploring, imagining and creating through play! 💛

Lately, we have been diving into dramatic play experiences, using our imaginations in so many wonderful ways. From becoming doctors caring for patients 🩺, to heading out on shopping adventures 🛍️, and even transforming our chairs into bus seats for exciting trips around town 🚌 — the possibilities have been endless!

One of our newest additions, the dolls house, has been an absolute hit with our toddlers and has inspired so much creativity, storytelling and cooperative play 🏡✨

We have also created a beautiful calming space for our children to relax and unwind, complete with soft cushions, cuddly teddies 🧸 and dreamy calming lights ✨ creating the perfect cosy corner for quiet moments and emotional regulation.

We love watching our little learners build confidence, friendships, imagination and a sense of belonging through meaningful play every day 💫

🚦 Road Safety Learning Experience Today! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

We had a fantastic visit today from Kelly at Saxon & Chase, who brought road safety to life for the children in such a fun and engaging way!

Kelly set up an exciting bike track circuit, giving the children hands-on opportunities to learn about staying safe on the roads while riding. There was plenty of laughter, learning, and enthusiasm all around as the children practised important road safety skills.

A huge thank you to Kelly at Saxon & Chase for giving her time and making the session so enjoyable and memorable. It’s safe to say everyone had a wonderful time — and we’re not sure who enjoyed it more, the children or Kelly!

Food Allergy Week 2026 runs from 10th – 30th May and helps raise awareness about the importance of allergy safety, inclusion, and supporting children living with food allergies. 🌿
