A Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) is an important tool in early childhood education as it supports continuous improvement and helps ensure the service is providing high-quality outcomes for children, families and educators. A QIP provides an opportunity for educators and leaders to reflect on current practices, identify strengths, recognise areas for improvement and develop meaningful goals that align with the National Quality Standard. Parent and family feedback is a valuable part of this process, as families bring unique knowledge, perspectives and experiences about their children and their engagement with the service. Actively seeking and responding to parent feedback helps us understand what is working well and where changes may be needed, while also strengthening relationships, trust and partnerships with families.
