On Wednesday our K/1/2 class had a fantastic excursion in to the Lavington Library for the Big Imagination Lab with Tania Ingram. This session was part of the schools program for the Write Around the Murray Festival.

Tania Ingram is the author of the Aggie Flea series and also the Jinny and Cooper series. Tania told the students about how she came up with the ideas for her books and shared many funny stories with the students.

The 3/6 class are looking forward to their turn at the Write Around the Murray Festival tomorrow.

Last Wednesday we had our first gymnastics lessons with Flyaway Gymnastics. This year we are fortunate that Flyaway can come to us in Walla Walla with their outreach program. The students had a great time using the equipment that Flyaway brought out including the balance beam and bar.

Jude has just returned from 2 days in Sydney playing at the 2026 Schools State Representative Boccia Tournament. Jude had a great time away meeting new people and getting immersed in the game of boccia.
Boccia is an inclusive sport for people with disability, it can be very intense to watch and requires great strategy and patience from players. It is similar to lawn bowls as you try to roll/throw your ball as close as possible to the white ball. After each end there is a bonus point round and one member from each team tries to roll a ball into a small square and get it to stop within the square without touching the lines. Over the two days we saw 112 attempts to score a bonus point and only 1 was successful! Jude was very close but unfortunately it was on the line so did not count.

Jude really enjoyed his time in Sydney and would encourage all students to give boccia a go, it is lots of fun!

At the end of term 2 Sarah attended the 2026 Riverina Choral Camp held by the Arts Unit for students in Years 5 to 12. Sarah had a fantastic time meeting new people, developing her musical knowledge and performing with the choir. We have just received these great photos of Sarah at the camp and wanted to share them with you. You can see at the end of the video how much of a wonderful time Sarah had.
