Congratulations to Susie, who came 20th in the 16 years Girls division at the All Schools Cross Country today. A brilliant effort with the top runners in NSW!

Both Year 7 PDHPE classes participated in some ‘Plogging’ today during their lesson. Although we walked instead of jogging, it was a great opportunity for discussion around physical activity, sustainability, waste and types of recycling.

What is meant by plogging?
Plogging is a term invented by Erik Ahlström referring to the act of picking up trash and litter while jogging. It comes from the Swedish term plocka upp, which means "to pick up," and jogging.

For our Be Active - Be Healthy unit of work we will be exploring a variety of different activities, with lots of opportunities for everyone.

A great sense of community spirit was demonstrated at the St John's Lutheran School Jindera Athletics Carnival where some of our PASS elective students assisted on the Athletics and novelty events.

It was a great opportunity to utilise and develop many leadership and organisational skills, while building links with the Primary School.

Today and over the weekend we have two of our Year 10 students competing in Cross Country and the National 15 and Under Girls AFL Competition.

Wishing both students all the best - Susie, who is competing at the All Schools Cross Country Carnival in Sydney and Scarlet, who is a member of the Girl's NSW All Schools 15 and under AFL Team, who will be playing at the Lavington Sports Ground.
**EDIT: We have just found out that Scarlet has been named one of the two captains of her team!

What a fantastic opportunity and experience for you both to demonstrate your hard work and preparation!
